I was able to walk in and got the cut and trim I needed to roll into my meetings next week looking on point and not like I just spent a month hopping trains and living in hotels and AirBnB's while putting in the hours begins my laptop and looking rather Robinson Caruso. Now, completely sorted, from a mere 45 minutes well spent.

I walked in on a Saturday to make an appointment for the following weekend and I got the time slot…read moreI preferred, the woman at the desk, possibly the owner, spoke very little English but we understood each other enough. So the day of the appointment arrives and I sit in the waiting chair and a young girl comes in, hangs up her coat and gets on her little salon jacket. She asks me something in French that I think was are you here for a haircut so I say oui and we go to the sink where she does the wash, towel on the head thing. She proceeds to comb my hair and clip it up in a millions clips....the owner comes over to me and starts to get out the blow dryer and the brush...clearly we didn't understand each other so I make like scissors with my fingers so she knows I need a cut. Thank God for the woman next to me to translate the words long layers otherwise who knows what would have happened. Needless to say she cuts my hair in a way like I have never seen, pulling it every which way cutting all around and then she blows it dry very differently as well....twisting every piece then twisting her wrist a bit. I look at myself in the mirror to see the most beautiful hair ever. I couldn't believe how great it looked, which I must say I have never been able to re-create. It was the best haircut ever for only 40 Euro....I will go back for the blow out alone!
