The restaurant is an old home decorated with antiques in a style reminiscent of Cracker Barrel; old pictures, tools, and antique gadgets fill the walls. One room is like stepping into a small country store out of the wild west. Another room has wooden fencing, saddles, and lights made of old wagon wheels. The music ranged from traditional mariachi to a smooth big band slow dancing style. A true delight! The food is traditional Mexican: tacos, enchiladas, and all kinds of delicious Mexican delectables, served by a friendly staff, and accompanied by a fantastic salsa! Bathrooms are small but clean. This is a great place for families, small groups or even a business meeting. I highly recommend Mina Vieja!

Now, the service is not the fastest but you have to keep in mind that everything is made at the tie its order, so there is no other way but to wait. There are two other Enrizos locations in the city, but maps won't allow me to post the addresses. There is one in Mirador Ave (near Diana Casadora) and another one in Tecnologico Ave. Both places are well known and the locals can give points on how to get there or they can be found on their web site.

The toppings are at the bar with the options of diced tomatoes, diced cucumbers, sauteed onios, lime juice and the salsas. In my opinion they taste better with everything, plus the black salsa they have in the tables (like a very strong soy sauce that its great with steak meat). They also have tacos made with this meat. Now, another thing you need to know is that in the north of Mexico, like Chihuahua, this dish is for breakfast, but it can also be good for an early lunch.

The biggest draw here is the magnificent view of the Chihuahua's cathedral and the Plaza de Armas. Your visit will have to include a selfie with this backdrop. As such most of the patio is usually full while the interior dining room is sparse. Make a reservation in advance for the patio if you have a large group. The food is generally good, but the main dishes are the winners, while the sides are a after thought. My favorite dishes were the Filete Mar y Tierra, which includes a flank steak and a few shrimp with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The steak, shrimp and wine sauce was on point, but the veggies were without flavor and the potatoes salty. The Arrachera for four, was much more on point, juicy meat morsels with toasted and peeled chiles and sliced avocado. Pair them with homemade tortillas and you are in heaven. We also had the cold cuts and cheese plate. It caned with sliced asadero, jamón iberico, melon balls, olives, mini tomatoes and sliced strawberries. I wasn't sure the combination would work, but the combination of sweet and savory did the trick. The few drinks we enjoyed were the sangria, and a few mixed drinks.
