I have had dinner at Mochomos several times over the past few years and both the service and cuisine are excellent. They are conveniently located in D1 and they are quite a popular destination. During my recent trip I noticed that they are building a bar/lounge on the back of the building as well which will quickly become a D1 favorite. read more

This is the first time I stayed at Courtyard Marriott and in the shopping area, there are many restaurants and Mochomos is one of them. I tried the Arrachera (skirt steak) one of the nights there and it wasn't as good as some other places but pretty good. The night before last, we came here for a business dinner and I got to try many different things since our local partners knew what to order. The shredded dry beef was one of the special dish I've never had which was different and actually a tasty appetizer. The Octopus and cherry tomatoes are tender and satisfying. The steak preparation looked great but mine was OK, I asked for rare and it's actually medium rare, at least the sauce was nice. We had great wine and tequila for dinner. The desserts were also great. The price is a little high for the food, some other restaurants quality is better. read more

Mochomos was a great addition to my chihuahua trip ! My family wanted to take me to a high end restaurant and this is for sure one . For 3 people an app, 3 entrees, 1 dessert and a bottle of wine plus two waters was just around$140. Their queso fundido w chorizo was the bomb !! So delicious! Their ribeye Mochomos steak was so juicy and cooked to perfection ! U get 3 potatoes wedges and a bunch of cooked garlic to add to the steak ! Their 3milk cakes was okay, not a fan. I wish they had wine to try instead of just selling the whole bottle. Super romantic spot, there is a smoking section. The service was ok, my waiter did not know a lot about their wines. Incredible flavor to all the dishes, we order octopus in a bowl, portobello with cheese, beet and cheese salad and some tuna. Then shrimp tacos and octopus tacos and they were amazing. This was my second visit to Mochomos, and while my first visit was great, this one completely blew me away. I'm not exaggerating when I say it may have been the best dinner I've ever had. The food was incredible, and the service was impeccable. There were three of us in our group, and we probably easily had enough food for five. We were more than happy to take home leftovers. We started with the guacamole, chicharrones el ribeye, and an octopus and shrimp appetizer. They were all amazing, but the chicharrones was by far my favorite. It was small pieces of ribeye, cooked chicharrones style (so nearly crispy) with onions and Serrano peppers. It was cooked with lime Juice and soy sauce, and all of the flavors together made for a perfect dish. The server brought out a tray with all of the different cuts of meat, so we could see what our options were. For fun, we opted for the two largest cuts; the Tomahawk ribeye and the Añejo. The Tomahawk is a full kilo of steak, and the Añejo is aged 30 days. Both were the best steaks I've ever had. They were incredibly flavorful, and tender. They took the bone from the Tomahawk, and shaving off the remaining meat, made an additional order of the chicharrones. One of my colleagues refers to Mochomos as her favorite restaurant in the world. After dinner tonight, I think I'm going to have to agree! Definitely recommend eating here if you're in search of a great steak, and fabulous service. read more

The food is really good!! However I encountered a little problem in the beginning. I made a reservation for four. When I get there they make me wait outside for about 15 minutes. They sit me outside around the corner instead of inside like I asked. It's cold tonight that's the reason I am complaining. There was a group of people that came in after me and they are leaving before me. All 11 of them.. Needless to say, the service could use some help. read more

It is close to the Marriott, and within walking distance to other great restaurants. I personally believe it is ok. I have had better steak in Texas. My ribeye arrived cold, so nothing to desire. The taste was also not there, it wasn't flavorful. Our appetizer of guac was tasty as was the chicharrones. Micheladas are delicious. The margaritas are nothing to die for. Go to the cheaper options in the vicinity, this place is just too expensive. For the money, we have better options in the USA. read more

The restaurant is walking distance from the Courtyard Marriott. Upscale look and feel. We were warmly greeted by Erika who speaks fluent English. I ordered the Mochomos ribeye, it was full of gristle! I was extremely disappointed. I was told Chihuahua was known for it's great cuts of beef. The sauce was actually very tasty. My wife ordered steak medallions in a white sauce which was very tender and flavorful. read more
