Outside seating at ALL locations is a bummer, ESPECIALLY on a hot, Chihuahuan desert day. Nice selection of tortas, pork shoulder their specialty. Hot jalapenos, two different kinds of salsas, so watch out for the heat if u opt for it. Fries are ok, but tortas are way to go! Lotsa veggies, parking is usually tight at all locales. I won't return to this restaurant ~…read more Had my third meal of the past few days here. Tipped the server 200 pesos for a 492.00 check Noticed on my receipt, the selected transaction currency, (which was not given to me as an option... ) I said I wanted to pay in pesos... And see that the restaurant has defaulted to US currency with a 6 1/2% markup Deceptive, annoying ... shortsighted on the part of management I'll never come back here to dine - Never

Good morning You…read moreknow it's going to be a good day when you walk into a restaurant and the first thing you see is a comal (griddle) and a lady making homemade corn and flour tortillas. Enrizos prides itself with fresh rustic traditional Mexican cuisine. We came here for breakfast and we're not disappointed with the delicious down home cooking that rivaled my own mother's. Just don't tell her that. I had the chile relleno burrito and the chile relleno montado (like a quesadilla folded in half twice). Of the two, my favorite was the burrito, filled with the traditional chihuahua asadero cheese and beans. I wish I had gotten another, it was only rivaled by the ones you find in Villa Aumada. The coffee sadly was instant, I really wished it was congruent with their homemade style of cooking. I would have loved a cafe de olla or just a freshly made pot of toasted grounds. Percolating breakfast

Dinner with a view…read more One of the impressive new additions to Chihuahua's new downtown district is El Meson de la Catedral (The Cathedral's Kitchen). The biggest draw here is the magnificent view of the Chihuahua's cathedral and the Plaza de Armas. Your visit will have to include a selfie with this backdrop. As such most of the patio is usually full while the interior dining room is sparse. Make a reservation in advance for the patio if you have a large group. The food is generally good, but the main dishes are the winners, while the sides are a after thought. My favorite dishes were the Filete Mar y Tierra, which includes a flank steak and a few shrimp with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The steak, shrimp and wine sauce was on point, but the veggies were without flavor and the potatoes salty. The Arrachera for four, was much more on point, juicy meat morsels with toasted and peeled chiles and sliced avocado. Pair them with homemade tortillas and you are in heaven. We also had the cold cuts and cheese plate. It caned with sliced asadero, jamón iberico, melon balls, olives, mini tomatoes and sliced strawberries. I wasn't sure the combination would work, but the combination of sweet and savory did the trick. The few drinks we enjoyed were the sangria, and a few mixed drinks. To be honest they were pretty tame. Then again we were next door to the cathedral. Pious nightcap

All food is really good here, there is no One good dish only. The art they have been collecting in this place is pretty nice too, I love their catrinas (the woman skeleton that represents Death, that celebrates Day of the Dead in November in Mexico).
