The place is extremely clean which is comforting. 4. The place is extremely cheap. May be the best value for a quick, big meal. I got fish filet with a spicy sauce as well as fried noodles with vegetable. Clearly, this place has potential for an upgrade once I figure out which dishes they do best. In all fairness, the chef is from Qingdao and I am partial to Sichuan food.

I loved the sides it came with, particular these very delicate fried, mashed potato dumplings. These were exquisite!! Portion size is generous and the sides come in a separate platter (potato dumplings, beets, gravy and fried potatoes). For a Tuesday night, it's quite busy and I would recommend reservations for a table. The interior has the old, rustic charm. Waitresses wear the traditional long dresses too. Service is very nice and they have English menus available. Very nice ambiance. Salad bar is also available too, but it was just fine, pretty good by German standards, but as an American, its not enough vegetables (think meat salads and pickled things). Overall, this is the best option for dining, food, and culture in this area.
