There is the Casanova Beach Club with is another restaurant on the other side of the street. I'm not sure if they are associated with each other. We spoke with a guy staying in our hotel and he really like Casanova Beach Club. In hindsight, I think we should've gone there. For one, this place was so crowded and the food was just okay. It took a while for us to get our food. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't super hungry. And, I didn't like that people could smoke in the restaurant. The smell of cigarettes the entire night was a huge turn off. My food was a bit on the bland side. I didn't like that no seasoning was in my pasta dish and the shrimp seemed like they were just steamed and tossed in the pasta. One of my friends had the lasagna. She said it was good but she's had better. If you're looking for a place to eat and there's nothing else open, give them a try. It's okay but I've had better.

Great views of the seagulls and the sand. The service was great and with the warm weather it was nice to have a seat outside. The winds picked up and blew over several of the large umbrellas. The food was very different from my norms but it was pretty good. We had hamburguesas which was a pink meat, jamón con queso between two hard pieces of bread and some fried calamari. Once again service was great and made my experience at this restaurant a very positive one

The staff were extremely nice, helpful and kind to our attempts to speak Spanish. We became regulars for over the two weeks we stayed. So easy to grab and go (llevar) as we hop the train to start the day. We loved the breakfast sandwiches (egg, meat, and cheese), the empanadas were delish and the cafe (coffee) on point. The choices varied between hot and cold items, sandwiches and hot plated food. We split an appetizer of fried calamari which was golden and cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. My daughter and I had a cheeseburger with fries. The fries were good but I'm a well done girl, my burger needed to stay on the grill for 10 more minutes. Service was efficient and friendly and prices were reasonable. However, some of the outside seating area canopy kept falling down and blowing over causing them to move people around.

When you see more locals than tourists it usually means that the food is good and I find that this theory has served us well. Had a starter of beef, Parmesan and some spicy potatoes which was perfect after a day of eating very little. The main course was very good too. We had some spicy chicken with rice and beans the port, bell peppers and mashed potatoes. They told me that the risotto and octopus wasn't available that night - wasn't upset by that tragic news [smile] A very nice, fruity bottle of rosé finished everything, but we skipped desert. I regret that part, but overall some very nice food, served quickly and with helpful and genuinely friendly staff. Definitely recommended.
