For Harvard this Mexican place is okay, but in most other towns it would be mediocre most likely. It has a pretty authentic menu. La Trinidad is among the surprisingly many authentic Mexican places in town. How are there so many, who knows. This one had been known for bad service, but the food is capable of being good for the most part. Came at lunch and the place was empty. It should have been a sign. The inside is quite roomy and it all looked pretty clean though. Eventually another group came in. It's about $7 for a margarita. These come in a few flavors, including the lime, mango, and strawberry. Kind of weak for the price. The food turned out mostly okay for what it was. It's about $11 for the Vegetariano Burrito. This was filled with beans, cheese which I left off, lettuce, rice, and tomatoes. Good isn't quite the way to describe it, but it may be as good as it gets in this town because options are limited. Ordered food on phone. They didn't even put my son's meal down or charge for it. I got taco dinner deluxe. They added onions. It's not even on the menu. The tacos were super dry and fell apart. The nachos with beans and cheese in Styrofoam was melted through and had holes in it. I'm guessing they microwaved it because the Styrofoam was all curvy and couldn't be closed, holes in it and fuzzy. The beans on the nachos were dried out. The green sauce had red pepper flakes in it. This restaurant is simply awful. Only 2 tables occupied and they sat a person who sounded like he had Covid next to us. The drinks were weak, the service was fair at best, and the food was terrible. Chips was stale and cold. I felt way over priced on 2 plates, 2 beers, and 2 cans of coke. Because the menu (even tho is high price) I did the number and it was like $30 some odd dollars. Drinks are over price especially since for a coke alone your buying by the can. The food is bare minimum expectations.... Sorry to say this but this is just the sad truth for me. I asked for two eggs over easy on top of two tortilllas(one egg on each tortilla) smothered in green salsa The cook told our waitress he couldn't do that because he didn't know how and it was not on the menu. Fair enough so I asked for two eggs over easyThe cook BURNED my eggs! I refused them. I asked for chori queso- on the menu- it was so greasy and under cooked with little or no cheese. After my family got their food my Sopa Azteca came to the table 20 minutes later and it was like warm and more of a cheese fondu! This place sucks! Margarita was too sweet and michelada was not good. Supposedly this place butchers their own meat & what not, so it was recommended on my trip out this way. Came in road weary & hungry. Ordered food in the restaurant. Twice they came up to us after we ordered and asked, "Is everything OK?" Yeah, its fine, we have nothing, we have no food no water, what can we complain about? Stop interrupting and asking how things are, and bring my food! Then the food, which took a REAALLY long time, so I was famished. They brought out one order of enchiladas, even though we ordered an identical dish. So one came out then, 3 minutes later the 2 dishes came out, Bizarre. Then we bit into the food, I mean they did, I inhaled over half of the enchiladas because I was starving. The greens were bitter, rice was bland and beans were out of a can. We ordered ribeye enchiladas, they were ground beef . Thats smart, charge us for the expensive meat and slip in the cheap crap. Annoyed, we stopped eating and ordered 4 ribeye tacos. These were OK, the mole on the enchiladas was good. We got gaucamole and this was bad. Really weak and overpriced. The waitress only took off one wrong orders off the bill, instead of arguing, I just left and will never come back. read more

My favorite Mexican food, anywhere. Better than the food I usually get when I go to Mexico. Not much atmosphere, but the food is what is important here. The burritos are amazing, and they will stuff anything in a burrito for you. My typical order at a mexican place is Chile Rellano (stuffed Pablano pepper). They offer the chili rellano stuffed in a burrito, crazy. Their Tortas are great too. Everybody that I take there says they love what they had. Horrible. If I could give zero stars, I would. Server was clearly new but unattentative, none the less. Never asked if we needed more drinks, etc. After we ordered, we waited 55 mins for a burrito and chicken fajitas. Had to ask servers for silverware AFTER the food arrived. Was hoping for the food to at least TASTE good since it took so flipping long to get it. No. My fajitas were very dry and salty. My boyfriend bit into someting in his burrito and cut his gum! This past Saturday after spending the previous 30 hours or so in bed ill my appetite made a sudden comeback. I had to return a couple movies and was gonna grab a quick sub at Jarrets favorite place.As I drove "skirt steak" popped in my head. So I went to La Trinidad. The previous few times I went there I thought the food was above average (could be the margaritas). This time there though. The food was absolutely AWFUL. Their idea of skirt steak and mine are two totally things. Juicy tasteful succulent, my idea. Theirs, paper thin dry tasteless not worthy of dog food. The server asked me how i wanted it prepared, to which I replied medium rare. This steak was so thin (imagine a philly cheesteak) medium rare is nearly impossible. I was still feeling pretty ill at the time I wasn't in the mood to even send back, shame on me. However with the multitude of Mexican restaurants and taquerias around this place gladly goes off my list. I have had better meals at Taco Bell. Oh, and the service? HORRIBLE. Ok so I have ordered take out from this place a lot, it's across the street from my home. They are always missing components to the meals I order. Being that I am Mexican I always have tortillas at home or saltine crackers for when I order shrimp cocktail. But I'm done the woman that takes orders over the phone has an attitude. And argued with me today because I ordered a pambaso and she told me I didn't I told her twice!
