Just when the rain started up again we ducked into Al Faro for lunch. I had the fried sardines because WHY NOT? The special pasta was linguini with sea urchins. Incredible! Had a couple of glasses of Grillo, a double espresso and hopped in the Gulia heading back toward Palermo. Two great meals, wonderful, friendly staff and a memory that will last a long time.

The standouts were the chicken liver, Sicilian stuffed meat rolls, rigatoni al rustico, and the spaghetti with pesto & swordfish. With the cooperto to charge and charge for tap water (which I know is everywhere in Italy) this bill cost me a lot more than I was expecting for the service and quality of the food.
