The service was very friendly and, even though there was a slight language barrier (he spoke "some" English and we spoke "some" French), he was very patient and we had fun with it. The bread basket he brought to the table was amazing. All of the food we ordered was savory and fresh, so delicious! My friends also got the escargot in a squash sauce. The sauce was pretty good, an interesting take on the popular dish. The waiter was nice, he spoke English and was helpful with translating the menu. But it did take us a long time to get our beverages, and we initially planned to order a second bottle of wine but because he never came back we decided against it and saved ourselves some money.

An excellent and authentic Italian right outside Beaune…read more We stopped here with my partner on our way to Paris from Switzerland to grab a dinner and were extremely pleasantly surprised - this place is much better than it can seem at the first approach. The internal mood is very casual, with a classical Napoli wood-fired pizza in the background, open bar and a large seating hall with regulars exchanging jokes with the staff and the owner, in a very relaxed Mediterranean fashion. The food follows suit. The pasta we ordered were extremely rich - to the point we actually needed bread to be able to eat the pasta, given how rich it ended up being - and in a good way. They also have an excellent wines selection - including from the surrounding Burgundy region, however we unfortunately did not have an opportunity to sample due to having to drive afterwards. Overall, it's an excellent spot I am looking forwards to have an occasion to return.

They only had two pasta dishes on the menu as well as several steak and fries entrées along with a large selection of pizza. They use Comte as their base cheese instead of mozzarella on the pizza so it's more a French style Italian pizza. I got a starter side salad which was lettuce ,radicchio ,cherry tomatoes with a very nice the balsamic dressing it came with French baguette and was large enough to share. I ordered the "Booked" pizza which was very tasty although it was very heavy on goat cheese and I had to take off some to better suit my palate. Scott got steak and fries- it was a ribeye on the bone and came with a cute little individual Dijon mustard container. Nice touch.The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and the food was tasty. The wine prices were reasonable and portions were large. Had a fun, high energy atmosphere but also suitable for kids ( they had a children's menu). Make sure to make a reservation for dinner they have one service and fill up nightly. Although we were too full to order dessert most people were ordering their strawberry and pistachio tart which looked delicious.
