DJ'ing was right on point. The guest ages and musical preferences varied but DJ Will kept everyone having a good time. It's hard to put in words the experience I had at Blooming Orchid. Blooming Orchid went above and…read morebeyond any service I expected a few weeks ago. I found their entire staff to be outstanding and I want to give a special thank you to Robert Adams. I was in Houma about 3 weeks ago just for the weekend visiting family. I went to Blooming Orchid before it closed to purchase a floral arrangement for my dad's mausoleum. While waiting on the arrangement to be completed, my truck unexpectedly stopped on me while I was few blocks away. I called the store and informed the staff about my unexpected situation. I was disappointed thinking that I would not be able to purchase or receive the arrangement to be able to place it on my dad's mausoleum. Robert volunteered to meet me. He arrived and waited with me while a tow truck driver arrived to pick up my truck. He drove me back to the store to allow me to purchase the arrangement. Robert then drove me to my dad's mausoleum and personally assisted me with securely placing the floral arrangement on my dad's mausoleum. He then drove me to my family's residence in Gray. It was above and beyond anything I would have expected, and I will forever remember and appreciate the service I received. Thank you, Robert and thanks to the entire staff. Blooming Orchid . . . you have a customer for life. Thanks! Lorin G.

But the store had a lot of gift shop items that I believe help maintain the house, buildings, grounds, and pay for staff. We did the tour of the big house and it was so educational. Then we went over to Miss Anne's talk and it was so educational and she interacted with all people in the group. I would like to come back with my family for them to see and listen to all of the history in the items and the stories of the owners and the enslaved. The visit was simply powerful for me to experience as I have family that were enslaved or born free to parents that were enslaved. And I have family that worked plantations in GA in the 1940s and 1950s picking cotton. So this visit really touched me.
