This is not "regional" Italian cooking, this is "Italian" cooking as seen internationally (maybe more specifically as we know it in the South of France). Good restaurants usually have a fairly small number of choices, and indeed there are really only two options for lunch: cannelloni or lasagna. Both are made fresh and served with a lettuce and pine nuts salad.
The cafe gourmand is a great way to test the various desserts of the house. In keeping with the "international Italian" theme it is of course tiramisu but there is also a delicious cannoli (hazelnut or cappuccino) and an amaretti to go with the coffee which as expected was almost half crema (and for once, good espresso is something hard to find in France).
The prices have gotten a bit higher since the last menu photo on another review site, but remain on par with the other lunch options in the city. Naturally, the service by the owner Angelo is simply excellent and makes you very happy to have chosen to eat there.
We had a pleasant, relaxed outdoors lunch and can recommend the place for something different.
