Yes, it is Pricey, yes, it does not look as comfortable as one might think, but this restaurant has been an experience through and through! Once you've entered the main entrance, you might feel reluctant to sit down, but then the owner recommended to sit outside on their terrace and all of a sudden you are in another world. The food is incredible, the best restaurant I have eaten so far in the region. Although they do not have an English menu, the waiter was patient and kind enough to translate everything in his broken English. A feat, that was funny, yet informative. His recommendations were on spot. For starter, I've had a beef Carpaccio, which was not on the menu, and as the main course, I had seared Tuna. Both incredible in their own way. For dessert, I had a chocolate cake, which was very fantastic. Overall, it was a perfect evening, with a great ambient, friendly people and Incredible, if not perhaps the best Food you can get in Aubagne.

Nevertheless, Le Florentin is a choice, one should not dismiss. The menu is very diverse and the Italian influence was all over the menu but, since we were in France, I've thought to choose something from the French cuisine. My choice for the evening was a Foie Gras Salad, a dish I would definitely recommend at Le Florentin! The salad tasted fresh, the dressing was complementing the whole dish and the Foie Gras, even though not cooked, made the whole dish whole. My sister, on the other hand, ordered an Entrecote Steak with fries and boy, the order was huge. I believe, even Americans would consider it a massive dish. The positive part about this was, I get to share it with my sister. Taste wise, it was on par with my Foie Gras Salad. My other sister ordered linguini with tomato sauce. A dish that is not quite interesting in my opinion, but they've managed to turn it into a magnificent dish. Overall, we were really satisfied with the food and would recommend the restaurant, but beware the big portions. The Staff was friendly and the ambient was very atmospheric. We had wine, and the water is complementary.
