One week ago today I called the clinic in tears. My beloved Sinamin had passed during the night and I was desperately looking for cremation services. I remembered a very good experience I had with this clininc in an emergency situation 10 years ago and decided to call them. Tori answered the phone. As soon as she answered the phone, I started crying again explaining what happened. She was very sympathetic and patient. When we got to the clinic, she remembered that I had called earlier and expressed her sympathies. She gave us all the time we needed to say our final goodbyes. We picked Sinamin up this afternoon. The way we received her ashes was such a great presentation. She was given to us in a bag with paw prints on it and in the bag was a condolence card, a clay mold of her paw with a stand in its own bag tied in a bow, a certificate from the crematorium, a beautiful wooden box with lock and keys, and her name on a nameplate. Tori is the sweetest person I have ever dealt with in a vet's office. She was helpful, sympathetic, and so patient. You could tell she meant it when she said she was sorry for our loss. Thank you Tori for making a terrible time easier to deal with!

Cinnamon feels the love at the Vet
Jessica R.

Absolutely amazing vet clinic!! Our guinea pig cinnamon hurt her eye and they were able to see her right away. Thank you to Jessica at the front desk for her kindness and help during this difficult time for us. And to the vet DVM Munson Chon for the amazing help and care that is showed towards our guinea pig cinnamon. Their entire staff is very helpful! As far as pricing goes compared to other places it's very affordable and they do take care credit. I called and spoke with Jessica. She explained the pricing for the exam. Afterwards the vet checked her and let me know the diagnosis. And another staff member came in (super nice, but I forgot her name) and did a break down of what the vet suggested and what the total cost would be. Then I went back to the front desk, paid and checked out with my Guinea Pigs medication, super easy and fast!

I had an extremely upsetting experience at this clinic. The vet was insensitive, dismissive, and…read morefrankly rude throughout the entire visit. When I declined a referral to a neurologist for my 7-month-old cat whosuddenly was unable to walk, the vet casually suggested that putting her down was the alternative-- he mentioned this option with complete disregard for my feelings and my pet's well-being. How are those the only two options? He didn't even touch or exam my cat. I asked if bloodwork could be done first since my cat had no injuries, but the vet refused and insisted on x-rays. Even after the x-rays came back normal, the vet doubled down, saying either I go to a specialist or put my cat down. I had to fight for what I believed was another option, and only then did he reluctantly agree to do bloodwork and suggest medication to help with possible inflammation. This should have been discussed from the start, not treated like an afterthought. The most frustrating part? After five days and a visit with a different vet, my cat is now taking steps and on the road to recovery--proving that there were other options all along. Pet owners deserve care, empathy, and clear explanations--not ultimatums. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this clinic.

Headline: Life-Threatening Negligence and Fraudulent Charting - Do Not Trust This Clinic…read moreI am writing this as a medical professional who had to perform my own clinical audit to save my dog from this office's incompetence. My dog, Twinkie, was failed by Dr. Mean and her staff on multiple levels: 1. Fraudulent Documentation & Lack of Physical Exam: The records claim Dr. Mean performed a heart exam on Twinkie. This is a blatant lie; she never even touched my dog. Furthermore, a covering vet performed a suture removal but failed to document any of the clinical concerns we raised. Vitals that were taken by a tech on an intake form were never entered into the formal medical record. 2. Misdiagnosis & Dangerous Over-Medication: Despite Twinkie showing clear signs of anaphylaxis right in front of the staff, they "shrugged it off" and insisted she was having syncope (fainting) due to heart failure. Without proper diagnostics, they jumped straight to a heavy cocktail of Enalapril and Vetmedin and Furosemide. 3. Intentional Withholding of Records: I believe this office intentionally stalled sending my records to the cardiologist. Once they realized a specialist would be reviewing their "work," they likely realized they had jumped the gun. Because they failed to provide the records, I had to act as my own investigator. 4. The Proof is in the Recovery: After connecting the dots myself, I realized the Enalapril was dropping her blood pressure below baseline and the Furosemide was dangerously dehydrating her. I made the clinical decision to stop the medications. Within 24 hours of being off their "treatment," Twinkie was back to her old self--active and barking. A subsequent exam by a different, competent veterinarian confirmed she is healthy, her heart is fine, and she never needed the medication. Final Word: If I hadn't used my own medical background to challenge their narrative, their "treatment" for a non-existent heart condition would have killed my dog. Their clinical notes are vague, their charting is dishonest, and their diagnostic skills are non-existent. Go elsewhere.

If you have a service animal, a medically necessary animal, or anything time-sensitive... please read this. My family spent seven months preparing our service dog -- a $35,000 trained medical assistance animal -- for international travel. We've traveled with him to 16 countries using USDA-certified vets with zero issues. We trusted All Paws Riverside Animal Hospital with the Japan and Hawai'i processes. We followed every instruction. We completed every blood draw, titer test, appointment, and document. We spent thousands of dollars. And then everything fell apart. Behind the scenes, things were not what they seemed. The Japan certificate was submitted incorrectly and rejected by USDA. The office had all paperwork and deadlines months in advance. The Hawai'i certificate required multiple corrections because staff, not the veterinarian whose license was used, were filling out legal sections. We were asked for information the veterinarian should have been responsible for. Worst part? We learned by accident -- not from the office -- that the Japan certificate had been rejected. And only afterward were we told the veterinarian responsible had actually been on medical leave during the process. That meant: No qualified oversight. No chance to fix errors in time. And months of preparation became useless overnight. It got worse when we tried to get answers. When we came into the office to understand what happened, the situation escalated in a way I never expected. In my experience, the office manager, Jeri, raised her voice at me and spoke in a way that felt aggressive and completely unprofessional. I left in tears -- shaken, embarrassed, and without answers. I have never been screamed at in a veterinary setting in my life. It added trauma to an already devastating situation. Then--silence. When we later requested a refund for services that were never successfully completed, the office stopped responding. Eventually, they terminated care for our entire family of pets instead of addressing what happened. No accountability. No ownership. No attempt to make it right. Why I'm writing this. I'm not sharing this out of anger. I'm sharing it because someone else will trust this office the way we did -- with their pet's health, their money, and their family's well-being. If your animal's medical, behavioral, or travel needs require accuracy and oversight, please choose a clinic that takes those responsibilities seriously. I wish someone had warned us. No family -- and no service animal -- should ever go through this.

They took us right back, let me spend a little more time with my girl, gave me all my options (chose private cremation with a beautoful hand carved box), and made the process as quick and easy as possible. 3 days later, I get a a sympathy card in the mail from the office. Not only did every single person who works there sign it, but they all hand wrote personalized messages. It was such a wonderful gesture, and very much above and beyond. We came here during a very stressful emergency with our pet and did receive medical treatment,…read moreincluding IV fluids and medications. The doctors appeared knowledgeable, and the clinical care itself was appropriate. However, the overall experience was cold, rushed, and overwhelming. Communication focused heavily on costs, paperwork, and internal process rather than comfort, reassurance, or clear explanation, even while we were visibly anxious. The interaction felt transactional rather than compassionate. At discharge, we were never clearly told how our cat responded to treatment or why she was considered ready to go home. There was no explanation of her condition after fluids and medications, no reassurance about her stability, and no clear medical summary in plain language. We were left to assume she was okay simply because she was being discharged. While we were waiting for our cat, my daughter experienced low blood sugar. I clearly stated, "My daughter Hannah's blood sugar is low," and explained that I was worried about her condition. I asked if I could step out briefly and come back for our cat so I could take care of my daughter first. Instead of reassurance or acknowledgment of that urgency, the response was, "Let me check if she can be discharged now." The focus shifted to expediting our cat's discharge rather than accommodating a child's medical emergency. I had to follow up because of the urgency of my daughter's condition. Our cat was then discharged without clear communication that she was medically ready and without being allowed additional time to rest after treatment. In that moment, it felt like process and payment were prioritized over situational awareness, empathy, and basic human compassion. In an emergency setting, medical treatment alone is not enough. Clear communication, empathy, and human awareness matter just as much. Unfortunately, we did not feel supported as pet owners or as parents facing a medical emergency with our child. I hope this clinic seriously reevaluates its bedside manner and client communication, because emergencies require humanity, not just procedures.
