I went to La sala with my mother hoping to have a nice quick lunch but that was far from what happened. First they got my order wrong, i got the enchilada and burrito combo and instead they brought me two chicken enchiladas. but we already waited long enough so i kept my plate. Then i wanted spicy salsa for my food and my mom repeatedly asked employees walking past our table for help INCLUDING our waitress AND the owner, Yet they chose to keep ignoring us. At first i believed that she was just busy but then i noticed she kept going back to her other tables attending them over and over with no problem but still blatantly ignoring us. There is not excuse for this terrible service. ignoring your customers that have been nothing but respectful and Repeatedly ignoring them as they are yelling "Excuse me ma'am!!" is very wrong. we will never be coming back. read more

This is such a cute little restaurant! Super sweet staff with good food at good prices, very cheap! One of my favorite places in Carrollton!

Good Mexican food for a good price. I really enjoyed the chimichanga and wanted to stick my fork into everyone else's food as well. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but there are definitely better Mexican restaurants out there (Chuy's). Options are really limited in Carrollton, but I found this place to be one of the most satisfying for lunch. I recommend sitting outside, as the restaurant can be noisy when it's busy. Service is average, I'd say. No one goes out of their way to necessarily make sure your experience is top notch. Came back here, and I must admit, it is better this time around. We came here a little after lunch, and I asked our server if I could still order from the lunch menu , and he said ok: yay! so... I ordered, the usual: chimichanga. It came with either rice and beans or lettuce with sour cream and I went for the beans and rice. I wish they offered beef tips, but they didnt so I settled for ground beef. My plate was of a decent portion, and I actually struggled to eat the beans and rice. I still don't think this place can rival that of the Border's on Maple St., but I must admit, I am warming up to this place. I still wish their servers are more attentive. 1. There was a HUGE bone in my shredded chicken taco. Was not carefully prepared. Flavor was subpar. 2. There is a $1 increase on menu items (which I understand is necessary due to current circumstances) BUT the hostess and waiter/waitress failed to mention this increase. They hid this fact until I asked at the register why our bill was too high. They are false advertising. Then when manager was notified he blamed his poor wait staff not poor management out front or in kitchen. Horrible excuse for management. He was rude and dismissive. Do NOT go if you expect to be treated with any respect at all. My daughter and her boyfriend were treated horribly by the waiter, was followed to their car bc the waiter thought they hadnt paid for food they didnt get to even eat bc it was WRONG, he argued with them about it, and after speaking to a manager I was assured they could come back in and get their meal on the house. He knew their food was left untouched bc they put peppers and onions on it and my daughter hates peppers and onions. But, when they went back today they were told no, they knew nothing about it. Now, my daughter was once again treated horribly, I know bc I was on the phone listening to every word. She has no desire to ever step foot in that God forsaken place again let alone to eat there again. She is going to college at UWG and is from Ringgold, she has never had that problem at any of the mexican restaurants here. They all strive to make their customers happy. This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to. The food is always really good. I like to order the steak fajitas. When we get the salsa and chips we always order a bowl of their cheese dip to use with the chips instead. It is SO good. You have to try it if you haven't already. Okay so I got the lunch special, what comes with one taco, one burrito and one enchilada covered in red sauce(substitute for queso sauce). Comes with either beef or chicken. Words of advice do not get beef, that is the lowest quality of beef ever, almost like eating dog food. Now I did substitute my beef enchilada for a steak enchilada, which was delightful. The steak was perfect, it wasn't hard to chew at all. I wish I would have got the steak quesadilla like i said i was going to get. I went to La Salsa to have a nice dinner with my friends and was utterly appalled at the services provided to us. To begin our server was not friendly or consistent. Second, we were all charged a gratuity against our wishes and they refused to take it off so that we could leave our own separate tips. Third, after cashier error we were accused of stealing and were approached at our vehicle in an aggressive manner. Finally, after settling the bill, I noticed I was charged several extra dollars for a meal. My friends and I were yelled at and accused of stealing and were called names. As a long standing customer of La Salsa, I was completely disappointed in the service yesterday. First, I know it was Cinco de Mayo and all mexican restaurants were very busy...we waited for over 30 minutes before someone took our drink order...we ordered our food at the same time, knowing they were busy amd we had plenty of time to look at the menu. The owner took our order and apologized for the wait. The people next to sat down after us, had their drinks, 3 baskets of chips, and their complete order, ate their food, paid for their food while we are still eating chips. Several times the owner walked by us, but never said a word...the people next to us even made a comment on how we had not received our food yet... when we said something to the owner, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, I will go check on it. After losing this hour, we were done! You would think she would have apologized or offered to discount our meal, but she did not. And no, I did not just want something free...I pay for my food, but she lost a good customer. I had stopped going because there was a horrible sewage smell at one thing...but decided to try it again, but NEVER AGAIN! read more

No cap one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. The staff is great and will always be there when you need something. Their horchata be bustin and when it comes to choosing food, prob one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make next to cheating on my baby momma. Two long-time patrons, close to 20 years, and along with their friends, will no longer recommend La Salsa. It is a 30 mile round trip drive from our place so I called in advance and asked if menudo was being served today and was told by a young man that it was. The food was good. The service sucked. We ordered drinks and meal at once. My wife ordered water with lemon. The drinks arrived. No lemon. When the waitress returned with the food I asked her for some lemon for my wife's water. She said "oh yeah, no problem".
