I went to la ruche last December. Coming from Berlin and knowing Lausanne quite well, I can really recommend la ruche if you are into underground and authentic club culture. It divers totally from locations like the D! Club, always having world-famous artists preforming. You will find a mixed audience. From young to end 40ies, having all different kinds of sexual orientation Very relaxing and non-affected audience indeed. Prices are very cheap regarding Switzerland, yet the dance floor could be a bit bigger as it get's crowded after 1 or 2 o'clock. What a club, built into converted wine cellars of the 13th century (hence the name), the XIII is a…read morelocal favourite in the heart of the cité. The place is made up of pokey passages and low cielinged stone vaults, with ancient street signs and pathways abounding. Not to be missed on any account, especially if you're a student - but the beers are rather pricey at about 6CHF a pop.
