Fairly large bakery with very, very sweet pastries. I purchased bread pudding, tembleque, and beso de coco. The bread pudding was too sweet and pasty ( I have tried many bread puddings so my expectations are high especially at bakeries). I ate the beso de coco the following day - it's a coconut macaroon. It's glazed with sugar so it's very sticky but not as sweet as the bread pudding. It was very well executed. I did not store it in the fridge yet it still tasted soft and juicy.
Along with pastries, they sell fresh bread (I'm guessing it's made in house). They offer breakfast and lunch options such as ham, turkey, cheese sandwiches and small buffet with hot plates consisting of meats, vegetables, and rice. The best was the price - it's very inexpensive.
I was advised this is a well known bakery as there is another location in Trujillo Alto. However, I was not convinced.
Sweet desserts. Decent sandwiches. Inexpensive. read more
