Born and Raised in Bagheria, La Rotonda always been the best place where to find many kind of delicious food with best service and ambience. Quality and professionality are still growing and making sure you'll have a traditional Sician culinary experience. Overall one of the best place that I have been. Just don't miss it if you're on the area. Congrats Guttilla Family.

Great different flavor of gellato. Not too sweet. Frest fruit flavors. We all loved it. Had dinner and came back 3x. Clean rest rooms.

The food was some of the best I had in the area and the salads are delicious. Save room for the outstanding desserts!

Nestled in Castellammare del Golfo between the pedestrian zone of Corso Giuseppe Garbaldi and the marina, down some enchanted rustic marble steps, sits a unique gem. My first experience was like this... My GF and I, were sat around the time of sunset, gazing upon a gorgeous view of the mountains and the vast Tyrrhenian Sea. The table was situated on the serpentine steps that cascade through a tiny corridor down to the fishing port below. Music, people, and the sounds of the ocean filled the streets as we dined. Our first dish was a fantastic mix of Sicilian favorites: fresh fish, fruit, and vegetables; new combinations of these typical foods join with different Mediterranean flavors. Across the board the selection was superb. For our prima plate we shared two pasta dishes that turned out to be a complete dream. Our server recommended a dish I've never had before. It was a busiate pasta blended with light tomato and oil based and topped with prawns and fish eggs. My eyes lit up with delight as I embraced the saw the meal and embrace the smell. It was outstanding. My Gf had the squid dyed linguine with delicious prawns and sea urchins. She couldn't believe how much her dish took her back to her childhood when she would collect sea urchins with her late grandmother. It was really a joy just to see her face as she devour it. For desert we had the semifreddo; a beautiful semi-frozen blend of hot espresso and the coffee gelato, comes together perfectly. Hands down one of the best meals I've had in Italy/ in my life. It was so good that even on our 3 day trip we had to go back a second time. I got the pesto gnocchi that time and after that the perfectly cooked tuna, it was simply delicious. She had the sea urchin pasta again. I cannot wait to go back.

We had hoped for a pizza, but unfortunately they were not available - only appetizers, sides, and entrees were being served. So we ordered a plate of french fries and a traditional eggplant appetizer. The fries were fine. You might think you can't screw up fries, but trust me, it happens. The caponata was but my favorite. The portion was substantial, but the taste was not to my liking. Nothing in a restaurant seems to measure up to what Nonna used to make, but this was definitely not the best I've had here in Palermo. I have to recommend I Cucci if you're looking for a good caponata. In fairness, the caponata here is sweet and I prefer the more savory version at I Cucci. I won't comment on the service as New Year's Day cannot be representative. I don't want to judge to harshly, but have to rate based on the main dish I had (the caponata), which was, for me, two stars at best. However, if you're in the area in a non-Holiday and in the mood for a pizza, they have a lot of options and this seems like a popular local place.

Felt like some castle walls. One common Italian inconvenience was that paying by card requires you to go inside at the cashier desk and enter your pin. Remember, service charge is everywhere, here as well. Many dishes are often sold out at later evenings. Nice pizzas, but not all of them. They often are out of something, either it's some beer or dish... A bit annoying, so have a plan B, just in case.

I had the misfortune of ordering the meatballs, which were cooked with cheese and mash potatoes -- at least according to the menu. They arrived on a skewer, no mashed potatoes, but cut up white potatoes instead. I could barely dislodge them from the skewer they were so incredibly overcooked. The cheese in between was brown and literally rock hard, when I called the waiter over he offered to replace them which I accepted. Almost a half hour later, no communication from the waiter, no new meatballs, no sign or any food, and my husband was now long done eating his dinner. We asked for the check. The owner then yelled at ME for not being patient enough! He said food in Sicily takes time! Really? I waited for the first meal and it was totally inedible, how long exactly am I supposed to wait for you to cook it right the second time? The owners reaction was really over the top, and he should be ashamed. They served me bad, inedible food and then yelled at us for not being patient enough to wait through a second hour for a replacement? Please. You make a poor dish, own it, apologize and make it right. I would happily have waited a reasonable amount of time for that. After one hour and 15 minutes with zero communication, that is not on me,it's on you. Own it! This restaurant is probably still worth a visit as I feel my bad dish was an aberration, but the attitude of ownership was absolutely rubbish, and they should be ashamed.

Both dishes were fantastic: tuna tartare was fresh - sushi/sashimi quality, and pasta dish was excellent despite the huge portion, lol! They suggested different wines for each dish to try, and I appreciated that they pay attention to details. While they would be a bit pricier compared to other restaurants in the area, if you're looking for solid food with polite service in the quiet environment, this is your place!

We enjoyed the amberjack carpaccio, which was super fresh and served with a fennel and orange salad. We then shared a pasta dish with shrimp and Trapani pesto - very delish. We finished with grilled amberjack with grilled eggplant and seared tuna with roasted potatoes. Both fish dishes were tasty and the quality of the fish was very good. The tuna was cooked a tad over and the skin on the amberJack could have been crisper ( the flesh was moist and well-seasoned) but overall we enjoyed the food very much. Our first waiter recommended a nice white wine from Etna - we ordered two bottles for the 3 of us. The lovely woman who then brought our food was delightful and charming. The evening we dined there, Canadian Amazon Prime was shooting a food network show on site and we ended up being a part of it (we consented to be interviewed and to do multiple takes and signed releases). It clearly was very exciting for the restaurant and we were happy to help, although the owner never acknowledged us at all. One quibble was that it took an hour after we asked for the check ( three times) for us to pay and one of us needed to get some work done on LA time. All in all, this place is worth a visit. It felt like good value and we had a very enjoyable time.

To welcome us, we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and a cold octopus salad amuse bouche. As an appetizer, my friend had the cuttlefish over a bed of lentils. For our primi, linguini alle vongole and fusilli with a pork ragu. For secondi, roast lamb with fresh wild mushrooms and a pork tenderloin with a pistachio sauce. And for dessert, a deconstructed cassata and a gianduia mousse. They also have a terrific wine list. To accompany our meal, we chose La Segreta, a wonderful white blend from Planeta. The woman (Plantea) who was my server didn't speak very good English so I ended up ordering something completely different than what I came for initially. I wanted the White Sea bass for 16 Euro and ended up with Tuna steak for 18 Euro. I don't know what I paid a 2 Euro cover charge for; I feel that spending 18 Euro on food and 4 Euro for wine should be sufficient and a cover charge is unreasonable. I was told that I could only sit at one of two tables that were both blocking the front door entrance. I ordered dessert vino. I love dessert wine so I was thrilled when I saw it on the menu. I was given a judgmental look from my server and reminded its a vino for dessert. I let her know I would like it now. It would not have made me feel so uncomfortable if it was said differently to me as informative and not judgmental as if I don't know what I ordered. I was looking forward to a nice decent meal. And felt judged and unwelcome. It was EXCELLENT food with POOR customer service. They didn't make myself, a visitor and first time customer feel welcomed to their establishment. I absolutely would have eaten here a second night if there service was better because their food was great. I just did not appreciate being treated poorly and snubbed by waitstaff.
