Small intimate restaurant, we loved it. We enjoyed every dish. Wine is local and excellent. Staff are knowledgeable and hospitable. Prices are very reasonable. Cannolis the highlight of the dinner.

Absolutely fantastic little spot by a beautiful landmark, service was beyond quick and friendly, I had the wild boar pasta (that I wish I could take some with me to Canada) and focaccia with mozzarella and tomatoes wood fired of course.

Even through the restaurant was fully booked, the staff accommodated us in the "garden" table. The food , service, atmosphere was excellent. Excellent first night in Palermo.

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. We couldn't get a table the first visit without a reservation, but decided to try again a few days later and I am glad we did! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Salvatore took very good care of us even though we got there only 30 minutes before closing for the afternoon. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Oh yes, oh yeees! Wild boar sauce on pasta. This makes everything and anything else pale by comparison. I plowed that dish! Momma K said it was the the best Eggplant Tappanata EVER! BigK (yes there is another) has pasta with anchovies and proclaimed absolute wonderfulness! This little bistro in Palermo was a great stop that should be open 24-7! I am not one to gush, (well ok, maybe a bit) but this was perfection. Tucked back into the recesses of a side street near the cathedral, sits this little gem of gastro-mania. Wonderful wine (Oro Marsala Superiore) was the absolute icing on the freakin' cake! No reservations so get there kinda early but be prepared!

I had the loveliest dinner in years here! The staff was amazing, informative and hospitable. Not to mention, the restaurant itself is charming and cute. I had the burrata salad to begin with, which was the best salad I have ever had because it tasted so fresh! Then, I moved on to the stuffed raviloi and finished with the steak. I highly recommend all! Even though I was solo, it never felt like it. The staff was always attentive and hospital, as if I was dining among friends! Thank you Salvatore, for a great dinner and I will be back to Palermo, just to dine here again soon!

Very nice place and staff, a lot or seafood restaurant and good wine. I recommend The price is reasonable and the restaurant is placed right next to Palermo cathedral, it's discreet and calm. There is a fan and good music.

We had a nice meal here. We had the tomato and avocado salad, which was nice! The pasta norma and beef skewers were good. The actual pasta noodles were fantastic. I recommend getting a carafe of the house wine, which is from Avola, and a 1/2 liter is only five euros.

Warm and comfortable with linen tablecloth and linen napkins and heavy silverware, they have a long wine list and we opted to just have the house red which was great. Beautiful bread basket, we got the baked mozzarella cheese to start. A good portion baked in oil with fresh garlic. It was awesome and there will be no vampires tonight. For mains, my friend chose a noodle dish with eggplant. Big portion, very nicely presented and I had a small bit that was excellent. I chose the buccatini with sardines and it was amazing. Fresh sardines, pesto, perfect noodles. Yummy. Our first "full" dinner in Palermo (last night was the food tour) and it's really looking like we'll have a great food fest here. I especially liked their house antipasti (eggplant dishes). It was fantastic! How can eggplant be so good? Biondo is located right off the main shopping drag. Knowing it was there we persevered, and I'm really glad we did! We arrived just as they were supposed to open (according to the sign) and we were seated at a table where nothing happened for the next half hour other than a whole lot of other parties arriving and getting seated. Then, the staff came to life as if someone had thrown a switch, and there was a line of dining hopefuls stretched out into the street... The service was very efficient, and all the staffers were friendly and helpful. The food and wine was all excellent and quite reasonably priced, with all the fish and meat entrées priced at around eight euros. Our server recommended what turned out to be an outstanding bottle of Nero d'Avolo which cost nine euros; it was the perfect compliment to the outstanding cuisine! It turned out to be completely worthwhile having arrived early; despite the half hour wait after we were seated we enjoyed a fabulous dining experience.

While the concept was good, the execution left much to be desired. Both pizzas seemed to lack complexity in flavor. In particular, there was a lot of crust on the quadri, and I think there was generally not enough tomato sauce. For the Sicilia bedda, there was so much tuna and anchovies on top that it overpowered the other flavors, and having more acid such as lemon or vinaigrette would have balanced it out. Otherwise, it was just creamy and salty. The servers were friendly, and the pizza was fine but definitely nowhere near the best we've had in our time in Europe and (in my opinion) definitely not worth the price. Overall, I would probably rate it at 2.5 but bumped it up to 3 because the pizza was fine but just pretty average compared to the others we've had. I would likely try a different pizza place if I return to Palermo in the future.
