After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before receiving menus and had to ask for them. Throughout the meal, interactions felt a bit rushed - several staff members who stopped by the table were somewhat brief, and on a few occasions, items like bread or water were dropped off while we tried to ask questions, but the busser had already walked away. That said, the restaurant was quite busy during lunch, so it's possible the pace and attentiveness were impacted by that. As for the food, we ordered the albacore tuna appetizer along with the strip loin, butcher's cut, and duck for our mains. Everything was well-prepared, though the duck portion was noticeably small. Desserts were a highlight - especially the pavlova with maracuya, which was excellent. Our server Laura was professional, though not very engaging until the very end of the meal when we were settling the bill. I would still return, as the food is strong, but I have to say that Bar George left a more lasting impression on us in terms of both food and service.

There was no bone to fall off of, but the meat was so tender and just came apart as soon as I pressed down with my knife. My family and I were warmly greeted into Brasserie Bois Blanc by Martin, one of the owners and brewmasters- I knew things were starting off well from the get-go. After explaining the tasting flights to us and welcoming us, Martin met with another patron and sat down at one of the tasting room tables with a "Magic: The Gathering" deck and began to hang out in his own brewery. So rad. I had the IPA flight and was particularly enchanted with the common ale. The rest of my family was really into the imperial stout (tastes like a 9% cold brew!). A lot of the other patrons (mostly fellas of a wide range of ages) were also playing games at their tables, while of course enjoying pints of microbrew. A variety of brews are available here; they also have a few cider options for the gluten-free folks. My friend had a poutine and they gave it an 8/10 ! The gravy is made with beer and gives the poutine a unique and pleasant tang. I will definitely be returning and planning more reunions with friends at this location!
