I love looking through family pictures and there is simply nothing that gives me more joy than a masterfully composed portrait. I personally needed to commemorate two momentous events happening in my life, and really wanted the best possible photographer to portray them. The shots had to be perfect because they were going to be the centerpieces of my entire life. When I came across Ann's work, I was struck by her style of elegance, class and grace. Her paintings reminded me of the masterpieces decorating the castles of old-time European monarchs and most prominent dignitaries. That soft, delicate quality I always missed in modern art. And what I found even more appealing in Ann's work compared to those famous portraits, was that beyond the beauty of her Renaissance technique, one could really feel the person's essence coming through the canvas. She makes emotions and human connections her focus and is able to let today's charismatic American personalities shine through in each of her paintings or photographs. Her pictures are alive, telling stories. And through her artistic genius she is infusing the people in her portraits with an ethereal quality, bringing forth their highest dimensions. I immediately knew that Ann is the artist I wanted to work with. The first portrait was going to be about me and my son. He usually runs away when I want to take a picture with him, or the very least makes faces to let everyone know this is the last thing he wants to do. Ann however, being sweet, warm and very skilled at engaging kids as well, completely made him feel like he was going on an adventure with her together, helping her out with all the equipment. He felt important, at ease and had the most fun time. I believe that at least half of a photographer's talent lies in connecting with the people in front of the camera in a way that they can let their guards and clamped jaws down, and allow their natural expressions to be seen. The resulting photos really spoke for themselves. They were hands down the best photos that were ever taken of us. My son looked relaxed, happy with a genuine smile, and his entire charming personality was right there in that shot - which was simply unprecedented in our past. I looked my best as well, the pose was unique, the whole composition amazing and what was most important, the picture really showed our close bond in the sweetest way. When I received it, I could not stop staring at it with a great big smile on my face. I spend a lot of time every day doing the same. And when I am sixty-five and my son is a big important man busy with his career, I will always have this picture to go back to and see my sweet little dumpling at his cutest age, in his innocence, exactly as I want to remember him. The second portrait depicted me with large angel wings that had very special significance. Many have tried to take a good picture of them but to no avail. When Ann showed me her finished photo later, I was literally stunned. She arranged me in such a beautiful, flattering way that I looked like a peaceful, unsuspecting angel in heaven watching over Earth. I'm almost ashamed to say, when I look at this portrait, I take my own breath away.. Ann noticed all of my best features, combined them with her supreme sense of aesthetics, and created an image that is more than splendid: simply magical. As the days pass, I remain overwhelmed by the beauty of this piece. I have always revered great photographers. Only they have the power to stop time and protect our most precious moments from disappearing into nothingness. I call them time fighters. And Ann is a brilliantly creative time fighter. Words are really not sufficient to express how much these portraits mean to me. They are not only exquisitely beautiful pieces of art, but also encapsulate the essence of the two most important relationships in my life: that with my son and with myself. When I look at them, I am filled with happiness and pride. I cherish them as diplomas of my long personal transformation. We will always display both statement pieces on our most prominent wall in the house, right in the center of our buzzing life. They will continue to charge us with joy and around them will always linger the memory of the fun time we had at the studio. They will long outlive us and will accompany our family on its journey, generation after generation. I know they will be the best way to communicate with our descendants when they want to find out who their ancestors were. I am forever grateful that my portraits were created by Ann, because... a picture is worth a thousand words. But a Latinovich picture is worth a million.

I've seen her amazing work and was beyond excited. I was finishing a book and needed an author photo for the back cover. Through the pandemic where many of us feel we aged 10 years in the first 3 months, I kept putting the photo shoot off. Finally it was due at the publisher so Ann arranged a shoot. Photos are so personal and have layers of meaning especially when we don't feel like we are at our best. Ann was amazing -- kind and very patient during shoot, selecting and preparing the portrait. Ann's most exceptional strength isn't the artistry of color and light -- while that all seems at the highest level -- it's in seeing a person's essence and capturing that. Everyone who knows me well loves this photo. We called her and left a voicemail expressing interest to which she replied back a week later via e-mail and did not even mention our call or her delay in response time. In the rest of our correspondence, her responses were rude and short. It felt like she either did not want to work with us, wasn't interested in working with us, or both. We are extremely disappointed because we wanted to work with Marena, despite the $700 starting price tag. We would not recommend even trying to book with Marena and instead finding a photographer who actually is excited to work with you.

To be honest, the photographer was the only vendor I was picky about and as soon as I saw their wedding photography, I knew immediately that they had to be ours. I love the lighting and style of their work. They are incredibly talented and have an eye for what makes a good photo. I loved how their documentary style gave us a full story of that day. If that wasn't enough, Mark and Magda are incredibly kind and will put their whole heart into your day. They were present and attentive the whole time. When the events of the day were underway I didn't even notice them buzzing around snapping photos. They were also responsive before and after the wedding and worked well with our wedding planner when it came to scheduling, etc. We received the photos within a couple weeks of the wedding. They also helped us select photos for a leather-bound book (honestly, they did most of the selecting/formatting themselves which was wonderful - I'm a hands-off kind of bride). I've told Mark and Magda I want them to be our family photographer forever! I'm just so in love with their work and I don't want our wedding to be the last time we work with them. At our initial meeting, he really took the time to understand what I was looking for in a photographer and what was important to me when photographing our wedding day. After we signed the contract with him, Mark was great about keeping in touch over the months leading up to the wedding to get all the specifics of the day and to check in to see if I had any questions. He always made himself available via email or phone if I needed advice for how to best set up our schedule for the day or even if I had silly freak out questions about worst-case weather scenarios (which he always put me at ease about). I really appreciated that Mark & Madga took a day ahead of time to scope out our church and reception venue. I told him it was very important that we incorporate the outdoors as much as we could, and he made sure to find some great potential locations for photos. On the day of, Mark and Magda were able to coordinate perfectly to ensure that both my husband and I would have pictures of us getting ready with our bridal parties. They are both so personable and fun that they quickly put me at ease and really blended into the background to get all of these amazing candid shots throughout the morning. The ceremony went flawlessly and they coordinated group family shots with ease. I think that my favorite thing about working with Mark and Magda was how enthusiastic they were about taking amazing photographs. They went out of their way to convince an owner of a private barn to let us take pictures on his property and I couldn't help but really get into the photo session as Mark was so excited about the location and the light filtering into the barn. The photos from our cocktail hour were such a pleasant surprise to look at after the wedding as I barely even noticed them mingling in the groups to snag some amazing candid photos of all our friends and family. Mark was able to coordinate the timing perfectly at our reception to sneak us outside right after dinner to get these amazing golden hour pictures on the beach. My family and I have never done a family photo shoot and we were excited to at least get one photo for a canvas. We had no idea how to pose or what to do. Miguel was the perfect photographer, especially for people who are not experienced in getting their photo taken. We love all of the poses that he suggested. He was so funny and personable which helped capture some really organic smiles and happy moments. We also included our puppy in the photo shoot and he did such a great job capturing our dog and getting her attention as well. Needless to say we've gotten much more than one good photo that we set out for. I would definitely recommend MN photography to all of my family and friends and look forward to booking again in the future. What's included in the package is made unclear, so I never got what I expected. In addition, during the shoot he said that he could take my arm out if I had it on my kiddo and when I reminded him of this later, he said that was considered a complex edit and would cost money but they'd do it complmenetary that time. Had he told me this at the time of the shoot, we would have done something differently to get photos without me there in the background. Not cool.
