Up close, the mist is refreshing (and you will get a little wet), which honestly adds to the experience. It's free, easy to access, and perfect for a relaxing walk along Lake Geneva. If you're visiting the Banc de la Treille (the longest bench in the world), getting here should be easy but we unnecessarily ended up taking a longer route. From the bench, it should just be a short downhill walk--about 5 minutes--into Parc des Bastions, near the Old Town. There was a group of people practicing some Mexican dance when we got there. Wish they let us take our photos for a few minutes, but they were just minding their business that we had to wait until they were done.

Walking around this area, I came across a belt maker. I was immediately pegged as an American and sold a wonderful belt I used for many years. It wasn't until I found a belt that a customer at Marriott Courtyard threw in the trash. The belt didn't meet the guests standards anymore, but worked wonders for me. Seeing the picture of this area in Switzerland reminded me of the belt marker I met. I also wondered what it would be like to live in some of these houses with a view of the water. I could see myself on warm days sitting on the balcony drinking San Pellegrino while eatting a Belgian Waffle with pecans and blueberries with a side of cantaloupe bacon and more blueberries. My God, it will be beautiful.

It is hard to find though at first, I had to ask someone for help to point the way. The museum is housed in a historic building, which they say the foundations date back to the 12th century. The museum offers a look at the history of the city, Nothing very exciting. I was in and out in a few minutes.
