We wanted someplace to celebrate the 4th of July.. someplace that served burgers and this restaurant offered vegan burgers, so we decided to eat there. Got a pot of mussels in cream sauce to share. It was the first time for all of us having mussels in something other than red sauce or marinara. Sauce was delicious, but some of the mussels were really tiny you couldn't even get them out of the shell.
One of us got steak, and told the waitress medium but it came well done. Another had their burger rare and it came medium. So lesson is probably just to go rare every time if you want edible, non-chewy meat. The fries that came with the vegan burger were awful. They tried to make carrot fries but carrots really don't deep fry well. They were completely inedible.
Service was good, though. The waitress was bubbly and really nice, and sometimes would try to speak to us in English (even though one of us is a fluent French speaker). They also didn't chase us out while we sat and finished our 28€ bottle of wine even though it was almost midnight, so that was nice of them. read more
