    Fecal matter on the toilet
    Kensie K.

The front desk staff was very kind and friendly but unfortunately the rooms were highly disappointing. After finding mold in our first room and a used contact lens on the floor we requested a switch to another room. The second room had fecal matter on the rim of the toilet and more mold in the bathrooms along with blood stains on the sheets. There is definitely a serious humidity problem and lack of cleaning that made this stay uncomfortable at best and potentially unhealthy at worst. I see they are doing a lot of construction and hope that helps address the moisture so future guests have different experiences.

Had to stay at this hotel for a cheer competition for 2 nights. The one thing I want when staying in a hotel is clean bedding and clean towels. The towels seemed ok, but the bedding......another story. As soon as we got to the room and got situated, we started to pull back the covers to get comfy and relax....and that's when we saw a dirty bed. We could tell that bedding was not clean and had just been made after the last guest left. There was so much hair, dirt, and shredded cheese(?) in the bed. In the sheets and top bedding. It was disgusting. I'm posting pictures, even though the pictures make it look better than it was. We called the front desk and told them we wanted new bedding. I guess they had to call the owner or manager or whomever, which took forever. They knocked (3-4 people, man, woman and kids), came in and changed bedding. It was fine after that. I was glad they did that, but it made me feel uneasy about where I was staying after that happened.

    Dirt pillow

Started out ok. Man at front desk seemed helpful. However when we got into room we noticed room had recently been painted, which seems like it should be a positive thing, but paint is splattered all over room. it seems the painters stood on white bed spreads to paint. Paint is splattered all over floors, all over bathroom, and bed spread. My pillow is dirty! As you can see in the picture. Then Cable TV doesn't work. I went down to ask for batteries and was told it should work but I could bring controller back to have batteries replaced. My friend went back down to get controller with new batteries. But when we got the controller front desk with new batteries , TV cable still isn't working. from Then online it says breakfast in the morning. We called down to front desk to ask what time, and we were told, no breakfast. Chair in room is gross! Towels smell funky! Will not stay here again. We decided to stay here and pay the room rate to avoid getting a dirty room. However we were disappointed.

    Very dirty hot tub.
    charles e.

Front desk has been great, but handicap equipment for the pool not functional, pool was closed when arrived, and hot tub is disgusting. The front desk staff are the reason for 3 stars rather than two. Breakfasts were good and selections varied every day. Constant problems with the key cards.

This trip we stayed little away from New Orleans downtown. The price was good deal and great services.

Lots of blue tarps, destroyed or closed buildings. Our room 408 was spacious, and looked overall clean until I laid down in bed and looked at the ceiling fan. Super dirty- yuck! Surprisingly we had a full fridge in our room. Nice! But it sounded like a freight train all night.. The breakfast was not great. The selection was very scarce. Bananas old and spotty. One type of yoghurt, one type of milk, one type of bread, sick looking breakfast sausages and patties, no hot water for tea or oatmeal. It was the total opposite of another Holiday Inn Express we stayed the night before. There the breakfast crew was friendly and attentive, made sure the containers are filled up once empty. In this hotel, the breakfast crew existed of one female staff member in grey jogging pants, hair messy, put up with a clip and sunglasses. We ate breakfast at 9am. Breakfast times 7-10am. At 9:15 the staff member stopped refilling items. She simply removed the pans and turned off the light. The hotel offers a laundry room for $2.00 per load/ dryer. Make sure to bring quarters.

For the price and quality I was very surprised and happy. This was my first trip to New Orleans and the hotel was one of the best parts for me!

Not only were the rooms dirty, nasty and smoke scented, the house keeping staff were incredibly rude! Just about the only good thing about this poor establishment is it's close proximity to Sailfish Grill. (Which by the way has a great Spinach and Artichoke dip that comes with fried bowtie pasta.) Upon opening this tomb, the wretched fumes of cancer thriving smoke fills your nostrils causing a reflexive gag and puckering of your anus. Why the the anus puckering? It's the bodies natural defense mechanism to close all access from any unwanted foreign matter. After stepping foot into the depths of this hell, you notice the musty bed spreads which look to not have been washed since 1964. If you are adventurous and care to peak into the bathroom, you'll see the toilet was last cleaned about the same time as the bed spreads. In fact, the bed spreads were probably cleaned IN the toilet. To give you a clue of the normal patrons who use this establishment, you can notice cigarette burns on the side of the bathtub which are located conveniently as if someone was taking a hot shit while smoking and occasionally setting their cigarette down to turn the magazine page or wipe their vagina or ass...j/k. They probably didn't wipe. Since this was the only and last resort, Like the tale of Job in the Bible who had to suffer ...I too had to suffer this personal 12x15ft hell. It can't get any worse can it? Yes...yes it can.... After a sleepless night in which I swore a drug dealer and 2 prostitutes accessed my room to conduct business, I was awakened by a knock at my door. Well, it sounded more like a banging of which should have been followed by "IT'S THE POLICE, OPEN UP"...i'm talking LOUD and HARD (just like the prostitutes in the room next door). After my heart attack, I managed to get to the door and open it up to find 2 house keeping ladies!!! WTF?!! All they asked was if I needed room service. Had I not been in my state of shock and awe, I would have surely told them every thing that needed attention to the room. Somehow, I think they probably already knew. But why would you awaken someone at your establishment 4 hours before checkout to see if they needed the room cleaned? it wasn't even 8am yet and they took action! My guess is they knew I was to check out that day wanted me checked out as soon as possible so they can get on with their day. I've visited some garbage hotels in my travels, but this one takes the cake. I'm contemplating a visit to urgent care for some vaccinations. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

The motel and area are still recovering from Hurrican Ida, but it was great to go fishing in the area again. We lost our camp during the hurricane, and this is the first time we have been back to fish. We will be back in the summer.
