I went to this post office and it was busy, but the staff were very helpful. They essentially did everything for me and it cost 10 euro. They spoke enough English to understand what I wanted and to communicate what I needed to do. It worked out extremely well.

That can make you grateful for the few times you can get to one of those big ones (like the one at Etienne Marcel, par example) that do have the "luxury" of sufficient postal workers for rush hour. That said, didn't have to wait too long to buy stamps here. Figure about 10 minutes at around 17h00.

We checked with two different post offices including this one about requirements. "Do we need a box?", we asked. "No", was the reply at this spot and the other spot across town. We arrived the morning of our departure to ship said package. They told us we would need to put the suitcase in a box!! Total cluster. We had to run around in the rain to get boxes and tape. And, wrap the whole thing up to send off. I would rate that as retry poor. Two stars for a clean establishment and friendly, yet mistrained, personnel.
