Very instagrammable environment. Food is so great & service is amazing. Good for groups!

We had a group of 14 for breakfast. The service was gracious and attentive. The atmosphere was cool under the patio. It felt like being in someone's backyard. There were trees, roosters and chickens (in cages). The chairs were comfortable. The food was outstanding. I loved all the little dishes and condiments that just kept coming! The Jugo verde was fresh and amazingly favorful. I enjoyed the chilaquiles Esmeralda Verde. Spicy but tempered by the crema drizzle and Queso. Oh and they make their own bread and cheese. You can watch them making fresh masa and tortillas. And a wonderful (super spicy) roasted salsa tableside. The tomatoes were cooking over a wood fire. A must visit if you're in the area. read more

Worse place I ate at during my whole two week Mexico trip. Stopped here for lunch on our tequila tour. First of all, we waited 50 minutes for them to bring our food, by the time we got our food, the rest of our group had already finished eating. As we begin to eat we noticed that all our food was messed up. I ordered chicken sopes and as I was eating them, I noted that the chicken was mixed with some other red meat. I can not eat red meat. I stopped and mentioned it to the waitress and she acted surprised. A friend of mine ordered 8 chicken taquitos, to which he got half of them with just cheese and one taco was completely empty on the inside. Just don't recommend this overpriced food at all. This is good place to eat while visiting Tequila Jalisco. The restaurant is a few minutes from the town center on the side of the road but it is well worth the stop. The food is excellent the the staff nice and courteous. They have a wood fire burning with a comal/griddle where they cook the homemade corn tortillas the they let my wife make a couple of them as she always wanted to try and make tortillas. We sat outside in the courtyard and we were surrounded by tall mango trees that were full of mangos. Some fell of the tree as they do when they are ripe and the owner picked them up and gave them to us in all he gave us like 10 mangos. Anyone visiting Tequila Jalisco should try this place. read more
