Good old Bobbie's…read more I remember when you first opened - a looong time ago. My family and I have ordered god only knows how many pizzas over the years - and they've always been good. Big chunks of fresh ingredients, a nice and chewy not-too-thin or thick crust, tasty sauce and a good amount of cheese. Me likey. Me love you long time. Not sure how things are now, but in my high school days, Bobbie's was a go-to place for lunch time pizza slices and smoke breaks - outside, of course... (Those punk kids!) As I recall, they served a damn good (big) slice of 'za. They also make awesome subs. I've only ordered the turkey, which comes with that great pizza dough and is served hot, like a huge open-face sub/sandwich, topped with shaved turkey, lettuce, tomato and mayo. For my Auburn pizza needs, Bobbies fits the bill. For my Auburn bread stick needs, La Pizza takes the cake. Sorry, Bobby.

The food was amazing, I got the Carbonara while my Dad got the Spinach Manicotti. Both were absolutely heavenly and we definitely stole some from each other. Side salads were great and the Italian dressing was great; I wouldn't be surprised if it was made in-house. We then topped it all off with two tiramisu brownies which survived about a minute on our table. I also must say that two meals with side salads plus two deserts cost about as much as just two entrees in some other places... 10/10 would absolutely recommend!!

Every year about this time, we make the trek to Frankenmuth for a conference. Generally will eat…read morethe traditional fare here. But I passed by this beautiful building on my way into town. My Wife is a huge pizza fan. She could eat it every day. So I mentioned in passing that this might be a different type of setting. And it was indeed. Super clean. Red and black all the way through. We both ordered a beer and My Wife got a personal pan pizza. It was eight dollars with two dollars per topping. I ordered the Michigan chicken, cherry salad. We had got there around five and the place was steadily filling up as we sat. Mary, our waitress was very knowledgeable and kind. We felt fairly good about what we had ordered. But let me tell you once we got it, it blew our minds. My wife's pizza was outstanding. She said maybe the best she's ever had. I rolled my eyes and then she offered me a bite. And it was. Truly. A lot of times when you order pizza it's falling off of the crust. It's uneven. This was perfection. She couldn't believe it. Frankly neither could I. The crust was soft and you couldn't tell it from the toppings. No separation nothing falling off and cooked so well. My chicken cherry salad is a favorite in Michigan and they did it right. Each portion was great and more than enough for the both of us. We talked about it the rest of the night. If you have the chance, make sure you visit. It's one of a kind and one of the best experiences we have had for old favorites made new.

The texture and chew are perfect and is a perfect host to the toppings. The toppings were of excellent quality  and very tasty. I really like the sauce, not the star of the show, but an excellent accessory. I also ordered some Garlic Knots ($11). These were very good and a little addictive. You just keep eating them. Not overly garlic, just enough to know it's there. I really liked both the pizza and the knots and would definitely get both again. I tried their Cherry Limeade ($4), and thought it was horrendous. However that seems to have been the exception to the rule. Overall a solid 4 and 1/2 stars. Since I need to round, I'll round up.
