The teachers have been teaching there for years and the head teacher, Maria, is the calmest, most methodical and caring person I know. She really gets to know the children and truly cares about them. She runs the program just in the mornings, and it's clearly a labor of love for her. I opted for this program for my child 2 days a week because it's a place where kids can come and be messy and creative - so rare in preschools nowadays. It complemented well my child's other more "academically" oriented preschool. Both of my children loved Artful Child, and they now have a large portfolio of their respective 18''x 24'' paintings, head-dresses, masks, and sculptures.
