I've been on the hunt for the best crepes when I moved to France a little over a year ago, and I…read morewas really excited to go to Brest & Brittany -- which is where the galette crepes originate from. We ate crepes a handful of times when we were in Brittany, and this place was okay, but not amazing for me. I like my crepes more generous filled and I was still a little hungry after eating my savory crepe (maybe I just eat a lot!) I got a crepe with artichokes, mushrooms, cheese, and with a small salad of top. I did like the addition of the salad for some greens and to make my meal a little healthier. The salad was fresh and the mustardy dressing was really nice too. The sweet crepe we got had homemade strawberry confiture and a scoop of vanilla ice. Simple but good; I think my husband liked this better than me; I had FOMO because someone else had gotten something with apples and ice cream and I thought it looked better. All in all, decent crepes - better than average but nothing going out of your way for. The prices were not too expensive either and the food came out quickly. If I ever returned to Brest, I think I'd seek out a different crepe place to try. 3.5 stars from me - if you haven't had a ton of crepes to eat, this place will be better than average, but if you're searching for the best crepes to eat, I don't think it will be here sadly.

This little restaurant / cave à vins stands in the center of Brest. We had three glasses of…read moredifferent kind of wines and a cheese plate, seated at the counter. A few days letter we came back for a proper lunch. We chose a toasted camembert with honey and green salad, a plate with vegetarian dishes, haddock with cockles plus vegetables and for the desert a pear and chocolate crumble. We drank red organic wine. Good points : - Different interesting organic wines - Local food (vegetables, bread, butter etc.). For example cheese from the fromager affineur Sten Marc's - Lovely place, welcoming and authentic. The garden is charming and the second room super lightly. - Agreeable staff, thoughtful and which give good advice To be improved : - The place is open as a wine bar but it is more a restaurant. We arrived at 6 PM and it was obvious that the preparation of the diner was the priority for the staff. We had quiet the feeling to disturb the preparation of the following meal. - Only one veggy dish. Moreover even if the turnips, the cabbage, the carrots were delicious and even if the pumpkin soup was tasty the dish had too much (good) potatoes. - The seasonings have to be improved. - The dessert was good but not outstanding. The pear was perfectly cooked and the chocolate was not over sugared but the crumble mix was OK.

Delicious and fresh sea food. The crabs are fantastic. Tasty white whine from South West of France. Chilled you can order multiple pitchers. Like in the US crab shacks, you have to wear a bit. Highly recommended.
