I had a good experience here, but I felt like it was sort of an everyday type of experience at…read morespecial occasion prices, which I guess is what I get for choosing a restaurant in the heart of the tourist district. It was the most expensive meal I had in Prague, and while the food was good, for these prices, I expect to either be really impressed by the food or to have particularly special service or ambiance. Because I didn't have a reservation, I was seated in the entry hallway; the ambiance may be a little nicer in the downstairs dining room. I had the spinach tagliatelle, tiramisu, and a lime iced tea. I thought the candied walnuts in the pasta were interesting and I really liked the dish. The tiramisu was good but not a standout, though I liked how the bitterness of the espresso came through. Lime iced tea was pretty sweet and more lime than tea, but it was nice even if it wasn't what I expected. If you don't care too much about prices, this is a good place, I just think there are comparatively good Italian restaurants at a better price if you go a little further from the major tourist areas.

Both nights visiting this restaurant we met other couples who were on this trip with us. This is such a comfortable restaurant, very rustic with much character. Helene and I usually do the same types of meals in Italian restaurants. Pizza, pasta or put them together and get a Lasagna. We did pizza, pasta and salads here. Food is delicious. It fresh, and the ingridiants are very rich and tasty. This is one of the reasons I like the food overseas so much... it's always very fresh and cooked to order. The staff here was wonderful. We were seated quickly and they were very attentive to take our order and serve food. They were quick but did not rush us through dinner. Overall I can not reccomend this lovely retaurant enough. I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.
