Delicious empanadas with recipes from the local area. Very friendly owner and chef that told us all about each kind. The signs also have English translations. Nice benches near by to sit and enjoy the empanadas in the breeze. We had the sopresatta and cheese, spicy beef, Hawaiian, Argentinian sausage, chocolate, and pumpkin. They were all delicious! Our favorites were the spicy beef, sopressatta, and the pumpkin.

We were in the area and looking for something to eat, and the rows of empanadas looked quite appetizing. There were a ton of savory options to choose from, and the employee there said that the chicken and beef ones were the most popular. They also had 3 sweet options. We got the curry chicken - one empanada is 1.90€, and you can ask them to warm it up for you. We asked for it to be warmed up but the middle was still cold - we should have taken it back to be warmed up more but didn't want to bother since we had already eaten half of it. So I'd ask them to make it extra warm so that the middle isn't cold. The empanada was fine, nothing to write home about, but nothing to waste stomach space on either. It was a pretty standard chicken curry filling, and the pastry dough on the outside was just okay. Some of the savory flavors were: - Beef - Spicy Beef - Chicken - Curry Chicken - Blood Sausage - Argentinian Sausage - Tuna - Thai Vegetables - Ratatouille - Four Cheese - Ham & Cheese This is not a sit-down restaurant, you just get your empanadas and eat on the street or find a nearby bench. This is fine place if you're starving and can't find anything else open, or if you want a quick, light and inexpensive snack. But there are a lot of other better options to be found in Barcelona.

Great place for a snack or light meal or heavy meal of many empanadas. However there is no seating inside this establishment so be ready to eat at the benches outside or on the go. They are portable and small enough not to require a chair at all though. My husband and I went there around 10pm for a snack. I got the beef empanada. He got one beef and one chicken. I recommend the chicken over the beef but there's lots of selections. Ask for it to be very hot. There are some vegetarian options and here are a few flavors I can directly remember off the top of my head... Curry chicken Onion and cheese Vegetables Spicy beef There were about 4 sweet ones as well but I didn't get to try them. There are also bottled drinks for purchase. They do accept credit cards and the gentleman appeared to speak a good amount of English. Cost was very affordable, the ones we got were less than 2 euros each. Will be back again.

BEST EMPANADAS IN BARCELONA!! After trying numerous other empanada shops and stands, we came across this gem. The empanadas are handmade on site and it shows. Fresh, tasty and great flavor options. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We have already come back once and plan to again!

Here, the "buns" of the arepas are dyed colored coded to go with the specific mix you order. Sifrina = bright magenta pink sandwich pocket. Pretty freaking sweet! Wanted to point out Venezuela has its own unique version of guacamole, affectionately called Guasacaca. El Rincon carries on this tradition, and I'm so glad I was able to experience it. I met the owner, one of the very few workers that spoke English, and he explained the make up of this tasty condiment - onion, cilantro, green pepper, salt, garlic, avocado, a little bit of olive oil, and vinegar. EXCELLENT atop my arepa! The entire sandwich melded perfectly, sweet, salty and savory in every bite. The owner gentleman did a great job checking in, the service was fast and efficient, and I never felt rushed. I was really digging the vibe of this eatery, as it seemed to be a true neighborhood spot. All the locals inside, none of the touristy appeal. I recommend if you like Venezuelan food to give this restaurant a try!
