Amazing mexican good set in an open space, lively atmosphere (but not loud). Superb cocktails, great wine list. Loved it!

¡Puro pinchi pulque!…read more La Nuclear was the meeting spot for our Lucha Libre experience, and honestly, it was the perfect first stop. We got to try cheese pulque (yes, cheese ) and passion fruit pulque, plus tacos de canasta and drinks galore. Beyond the experience itself, I loved the vibe of this place. La Nuclear has been around for years and has that old-school, no-frills CDMX energy that makes it feel like you're actually experiencing the city rather than just checking off another tourist spot. We had such a good time that I actually came back again without the tour group--which probably says everything. Great pulque, great atmosphere, and definitely a memorable stop in CDMX.

No frills, all quality and wholesomeness. The walls are coated with murals and hilarious graffiti with confessions like "Call me (number here)" and "Ama Mexico." My friend and I were the only ones on an early afternoon and we went with the flavored pulque. They did offer the original, but we did the guayaba and passiflora. Both were tasty. Loved meeting one of the pulque-tenders and he explained to us the process of making pulque regarding fermentation and the use of the "heart" of the maguey. SO rad. Plus the pulque is much less alcohol content, so it's a great digestive. The power of maguey! Phew! Highly recommend checking these guys out. Grab a few friends, as the tables can fit comfortable a group of four. The tables felt like church pews, but it creates a cozy and intimate space.

Cocktails: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Cost to worth it rating: 4 ($16-19 per highest quality cocktail) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: yes! Eve award: best bar in the world (the 50 best bar people should've officially kept it there 2025 to 2026) Highlights: - Cocktails: all were top notch and delightfully balanced - Willy Wonka style magic: peanut butter and jelly and Cookie Monster as examples. Incredible to have these liquids taste like their namesakes--but not in a super sweet but smooth quality way. Pb and j came with a crazy white chocolate rendition of the sandwich and Cookie Monster their own version of an Oreo - Olive oil tequila gimlet: never would normally order this but it was delightful. Almost a butterscotch taste and a nice large green olive sitting at the bottom. - Whiskey cocktail: short was clarified and lovely - Staff: world class, top notch, could not imagine any better. Highly skilled, professional, welcoming, and fun. My niece had a few sips left in her martini drink and they transferred it to a newly chilled glass. I've never seen that done before and it was so classy. - Vibe: perfection. Classy, comfortable, and fun. Lightening was perfect: dark enough for mystery but light enough you could see. Volume just right as well. Bar seating plus few low tables. - Bar with front row seat to the drinks being created - Bar snack mix: always love this being provided. This one had almonds, sunflower seeds, and crunchy crickets! Tasted fine to me. Midlights: - For 2026 ranked #6 bar in the world but #12 in North America. That's perplexing. I vote #1 for both Lowlights: - Can be hard to get a reservation even booking exactly when your date is ready

My highlights were the welcome of every one of their team as you walk in and the goodbye you get. I also liked that they gave you towel to wipe your hands. The drinks were a bit lackluster. They sat us at the bar in front of the mixologist so we expected to get drinks mixed right in front of us but instead we got them poured out of containers where they had already been pre-batched. Not the crafted cocktails I was looking for. The dim lighting, bubbles for birthdays and friendly service was what I loved. The drinks left me wanting more. Worth going once to see if it's your vibe.
