Came here a few times while I visited Oaxaca. I have to say that this is genuinely a great bakery…read more Everything I got there was delicious. The English muffin in particular is to die for! I kid you not, best English muffin I have ever had . If you're wondering what to order you should grab their breakfast sandwich with the English muffin. 10/10! Add a little salsa macha and you got yourself gourmet meal. Everyone here was super helpful and nice. The cashier in the bakery recommended some sweets that I ended up loving. And the servers in the restaurant were also kind. This is the spot to get a wonderful breakfast! You can't go wrong with what you order.

We went a little before open and there was already a small line forming. We ordered the ham and cheese croissant ($145 MXN) and the shakshuka ($135). The croissant was soft and I liked the cheesiness and creaminess. The shakshuka had a bit of spice and I liked dipping the bread into the sauce. The eggs were a little hard though and not runny at all. Both of these dishes were delicious and I still think about the shakshuka even today. For drinks we had the flat white ($58) and iced latte ($63) which were also good. We usually don't go to the same place more than once during our travels but this place was just so good we had to. This was my favorite brunch spot and I can see why it's such a popular spot.

This is not as well-known as other popular cafe spots in the area so it's not as busy and there is seating inside. We ordered the shakshuka ($125) and baguette jamon serrano y mozarella ($195). The shakshuka base was more of a soup than a sauce and its flavor was decent. We asked for the sandwich without olives but it still had some in there but it was fine. For drinks the flat white ($65) and americano ($45) were okay. It's more peaceful and not as busy if that's the vibe you're looking for. If you want another place to relax you can head through the door at the back of the cafe to the lobby of the hotel. If you're staying at the hotel this cafe is very convenient to get pastries or coffee.

Ama is past the heavy door within Muss cafe. What called me to AMA was moreso the plants lol, but the menu carried through. I ordered the huevos rancheros with a water based Oaxacan chocolate. I was so happy they had the water option (most of Oaxaca does) bc the more north you go they usually just do milk. The water chocolate was delicious. Still smooth even with a little butter taste due to how the chocolate was price (no dairy though). The huevos rancheros were light, but delicious. Did wish for some more black beans though. My friends breakfast dishes were just as delicious. One ordered the Parmesan mushroom toast and the other toast with compote with a side of egg and bacon. Highly recommend this place for breakfast, drinks and a cute view of part of the city.
