This place used to be so good. Chamangos and chamafresas were EVERYTHING. but recently the chamango I got, the icecream was very bland, very watery, not enough mango taste. I love their corn and their customer service pretty good. I mean they do their job and they do a good job at it. I just don't think that they're interested in additional conversation, but that's fine byme The restrooms we're very clean. It was much more comfortable using theirs as opposed to a typical business. Omg this is the best little ice cream shop that I've stumbled upon in Vegas. Their fresas and crema, strawberry and cream shake is the best! The strawberries are so fresh tasting. I believe it's mixed with strawberry ice cream and cream. It's not blended but kind of layered together. They have so many different drinks and ice cream to choose from, but I keep coming back for the fresas and crema lol the service has always been super friendly too. After a performance at the nearby Winchester Cultural Center, I used my Yelp app to find an ice cream place. A couple of chain yogurt places came up as did La Neveria which was just a block and a half from where I was. La Neveria is Spanish for the ice cream parlor. I found the store quickly. On entering, I noticed it was crowded but there were some seats available. I took my time studying the various options--a shake, a smoothie, food, or just ice cream. I ended up getting the ice cream I came for. After looking at the different flavors, I ordered a two scoop cup of guanabana and pineapple-coconut. I used to drink guanabana juice on breaks during my working days and I like the flavor. After paying and getting my cup, I noticed that the group who had been at the long counter at the windows had gone and I had a great seat waiting. The ice cream was good. It's not artisan ice cream but it's good and it hit the spot. The women working the counter were pleasant and helpful. The place was clean and bright. So disappointing of this place! I have gone to many places like this and none of them have had such terrible service. I have asked for the strawberries with cream with the ice cream on the side, and the guy said he cannot do it like that. I asked how much for just a cup, the guy said that if I wanted it I had to buy a cup with ice cream for $3.50. So I ended up getting a raspado de tamarindo, unfortunately, it was too sour and I did not like it. Then I told the girl that if she can do anything about it and she said to talk to the same guy because he is in charge of the place. I went with the guy to let him know that it was too sour and I would love if he can change it for another flavor, then he said that due to the corona virus he cannot change the flavor. What is this guy thinking? If corona virus was not here he could change the raspado, that means that he gives the raspado to some else and because of the virus he cannot do it. This is a dumb excuse! Up until today we loved their food. Today we spent $40.00 for two drinks, the loaded hotdog and the shrimp nacho dish. The watermelon chunky drink had so much tamarand I choked. There was not ONE spot in that drink that was sweet. The mango slush had NO flavor because the mango was NOT CLOSE to being ripe, hard as a rock. The shrimp had so much vinegar on it along with tamarand chunks it ALSO was inedible. The hotdog bun thingie was so hard we tossed that and went for just the dog and bacon. WAY TO SALTY. Been having this place bookmarked for a while now and finally got to try it out with the family. This place has some real good Mexican deserts. We had the Tosellotes , Frescas con creama strawberries & cream and Tres Marias. The Tosellotes are like nachos with white corn, lemon juice, cream and cheese and what ever else was in it , it was layered so good that we finish the whole thing. The creama strawberries and cream was really good too but was pretty full from the Toselllotes that i only took a few spoon full and a few sips then gave it to my son and he was happy with it. My sons tore up the Tres Marias. I recommend this place if you're into Mexican style deserts . I know I be back here before I leave Las Vegas read more

I guess from reading the other reviews I was expecting something that was "orgasmic", the ice cream had the consistency of "ice milk" it didn't really have the quality of a high fat content ice cream, nothing beats Thrifty Ice cream. For $2.50 for a scoop of ice cream, $3.50 for two and $4.25 for 3, you would be better off picking up some ice cream at La Bonita next door. The chamango use to be $5.50 and now they're $7. They had plenty of dessert choices and even ice cream. If you craving sweet definitely go here. My chamango had plenty of mangos pieces in it and I loved it. I didn't care much for the slush part. They give you two different straws. Drink with the straw that has nothing on it because the other straw has a tamarind thing on it which prevents the drinking part at the bottom. The reason for the 2 stars vs a full 5 is the service. Unless you speak full spanish they will ignore you. The descriptions are in spanish and I have learned them but not familar with all the tastes. And if you ask whats it like or simular to: you tend to get a rude Im being disturb attidtude back. You think well hmmm perhaps short staff and they are busy? Nope, they have at least 4 workers behind the counter helping with ice cream so thats definately not it. When you ask for samples they give but then they tend to get frusterated and walk away from you.
