The classic tiramisu had a bitter flavor from the coffee and cocoa dusting on top, balanced off by the lightness of the mascarpone cheese and whipping cream. The dessert of strawberries with Chantilly cream was made of a cup of sliced strawberries in a light syrup, served with a dollop of whipped cream on the side, along with powder sugar and crushed nuts for decoration.
