Every time I've used an engineer here, they've been exceptional. I've gotten a chance to watch the business grow over the years, and it's impressive what a one-stop-shop they have become. Not only can you make a song at ZOOM, but they also offer photography, vlog, interview packages and more. Finally - it's affordable! They offer some of the best prices you will find in LA. Over here, we love ZOOM!

I had my very first session at ZOOM Recording Studio a couple of months ago and the experience was…read morestill so memorable and top tier that I had to make sure I left a review of my experience! I needed a VO Demo and FAST for a gig and with some research, I had stumbled upon ZRS! Being new to the LA scene, I had never scheduled or done something like this before...so the nerves were high. "Were they legit?" "Is this a scam or something?" But man oh man was I wrong. From scheduling an session, to finding a FANTASTIC engineer! ZOOM RECORDING STUDIOS plays NO GAMES and are super duper friendly and helpful. The instructions to find the place is crystal clear and the rooms and vibes are super clean and chill! I CANNOT stress enough of how important it is to pay a little extra money to get a sound engineer to help you! It helps make the process fun and easy! Plus, the finished product is so professional! I was lucky enough to have the ever so talented "Chris McMasters" as my Engineer. They weren't lying when they said he was one of their best! Aside from being so nice and patient. Chris was so emotionally invested in my project and even helped give his two cents in helping enhance it! He truly showed that he cared and I am beyond appreciative of that! In-between takes we would banter and have a great time, the time FLEW by! Before I knew it, we were done and I had a completed VO demo all ready to go! PLEASE GIVE CHIS HIS FLOWERS, FOR HE DESERVES THEM AND MORE FOR THE TALENT AND HARD WORK HE PUTS INTO WHAT HE DOES! This was such a core memory of a visit and I can't wait to go back soon! THANK YOU CHRIS AND ZOOM RECORDING STUDIO!

I sent Hayden a piece I had been living with for months and he returned it sounding like the version I'd been hearing in my head the entire time. Nothing felt hyped or over-processed. The low end became focused and calm, the high end gained air without harshness and the depth of field opened up in a way that still felt natural. Instead of changing the mix, he revealed it. What really stood out for me was translation. Whether I was listening through my studio monitors, headphones, and car speakers, the feeling stayed intact everywhere. The intention of the performance survived, which is rare nowadays. Hayden understands that mastering isn't about loudness, it's about protecting the emotional identity of the record and he communicates with a certain gravitas about music because you can tell it's his passion. I'll absolutely be trusting him with future releases.

Kathleen was extremely accomodating, and provided me with a fantastic engineer, Bryan. Kathleen really empathizes with the need of musicians, and worked to accommodate my needs. I first used Rocinante Studios in 2018 to help my client producer create ADR (Automated Dialogue…read moreRecording) for his feature film. The filming had been completed, but certain dialogue needed to be re-recorded by the actors. Campbell, the owner of the studio, was first rate in every aspect. He is patient, helpful and an expert sound engineer. He worked with my client and the actors to get the recordings to match beautifully, did all the the post-production work (editing, mixing, etc.) and did so super efficiently. The movie ended up looking and sounding terrific. In 2022, Campbell recorded the entire audiobook for one of my clients who is an author. They scheduled the recording so that my client could do it in manageable chunks of three hours a day. After each day recording, Campbell would go through that day's recordings, make any edits needed, mark the spots he felt could be re-recorded, and sent them to the author so that she could have her input. The audiobook came out beautifully. Throughout this time, I have used Rocinante Studios to record dialogue for my own audiobooks, video game voiceovers, as well as audio exercises for my students (I am a Voice & Speech Coach). Campbell and his partner Suz are a joy to work with. They are super fair in their pricing, very amenable to working with us in terms of scheduling, and most importantly, provide top-tier recording results. The studio is also set up for music recording. Although I haven't used Rocinante for that purpose, I have listened to the music recordings made there and they are all top top-quality. This is a great studio to work with!
