Mangonada slush with tajin covered straw
Claire W.

Delightfully yummy with quality ingredients. I got bumped off a flight and stuck in a hotel. Did DoorDash from here and was deeply satisfied. The quesa birria nachos were worth every dollar and could feed 2-3 people. The beef was so tasty, the cheese was melted, the pico de gallo was fresh and the guacamole and sour cream rounded out the nacho experience. Five stars, would order again. The BEST part of my meal was the mangonada slush with Tajin spice mix. Mmmmmmmmm tasty! You gotta try this if you like mango. So refreshing and tajin is the answer to any question about tropical fruit. (If you haven't heard, Tajin is a mix of dried chilis, salt and crystalized lime juice- spice, salt, and zest. Do yourself a solid and try it sometime.)

This place is legit! I haven't actually visited the actual restaurant, so I can't comment on the service or ambiance, but the delivery experience was out of this world. Based on the pictures, it looks like the vibes are pretty casual. My friends ordered a bunch of menu items and everything was absolutely delicious. Anything with the word Birria is going to be 10/10. The star of the show was the Birria Pizzadia, which was essentially a huge quesadilla with two layers, totally stuffed with meat and cheese. The quality of the meat was really good - just the right about of flavor and juice. The Shrimp Tacos were another standout and the shrimp themselves had just the right meaty texture. I hope to visit the restaurant sometime soon and try out some of their other menu options!

The absolute best Birria tacos/quesadillas around. The flavors are amazing, the tacos are huge and filling, and the chips are tasty too. We ordered on door dash so I was worried about the food being cold and soggy, but even delivered, everything was hot, crispy and so so delicious. Even the consumme has amazing flavor. We absolutely love this place.

If you're looking for authentic and delicious birria tacos, this is the place to go! It is hidden in the left corner of a small convenience store with 2 seats to wait at. This is really a place where you'd get take out and go - no dine in. We wanted to eat while the food was still hot though so we ended up eating on top of the trunk of the car. Quesa Birria Tacos ($12.99) Came with 3 tacos and they were absolutely delicious. They were filled with the most tender and juicy beef, melted cheese, and onions and wrapped in 2 layers of hard shells so they stayed crunchy even after being dipped into the consommé. Birria Ramen ($9.00) Tasty and filled with chunks of beef and the noodles really soaked up the birria broth. This was perfect for dipping the birria tacos in. I will say that the broth did get too salty at the end so we couldn't finish it, but the first half of the ramen really hit the spot. Hot Churros ($6) Came with 2 long churros. They were crispy and powdered with cinnamon sugar on the outside and were light and fluffy on the inside. I enjoyed taking bites of it in between eating the savory foods. Overall, this is a solid spot for birria tacos. I would recommend ordering ahead so you can just pick it up and go!

Stopped in because my Sister-in-law found them on FB and was craving Barria! Tiny spot in the back of the store, girls were super nice and friendly! Meat was all delicious and tender but the Shrimp Tacos were life changing! Will definitely be back to try more!

Cool spot to grab food! First heard of La Mesa from coworkers. They ordered buffalo chicken fries and it smelled amazingg. When I finally tried the place , ordered the same thing (months later), I wasn't particularly found of the chicken. (Still smelled and looked good tho!) BUTTTT today I went to grab food and was offered something off the menu (in store). I didn't even know they made stuff like this! It was a birra pastelito, came in threes, and got it for $9. Honestly Iove pastelitos in general, but was scared to have a birra version. I'm glad I said yes to getting these! They were so tasty. Obviously there's room for improvement (minor things like: slightly greasy--from my picky friend's pov. I had it with the sauce (dipped in) and didn't feel like it was greasy (1) and slightly crispy along the edges (at least from what I'm used to with Dominican/ Puertorican style pastelitos) My friend, who's a picky eater, loved these and I think that says a lot lol. Come in and give this place a try!

Best Birria in the city, the sauce is so much more flavorful and spicy. Also got the mulita, for the price, you can't go wrong

Chicharron was great. - Arepa: looks like a tortilla, so not the typical thick arepas I'm used to. So felt like I paid $8 just for a tortilla and small block of cheese - Tostones con guacamole: I prefer my tostones to be crispier, but they had great taste. - Cazuela de Mariscos: Great flavor. I put it on top of rice and enjoyed it with the other food, otherwise too heavy/dense on it's own. I didn't enjoy the mussels (I love mussels). They were too gritty.

The steak was cooked perfectly and it came with everything I was craving. Plus the refried beans, creama, eggs, plantains, chicharron, and warm tortilla--yum! The pupusa was different, as it's made with a different cheese here which the waitress did warn us. Because of this, it wasn't our favorite but still good. Overall this spot is popular in East Boston, I would definitely check it out! Also if you tell them it's your birthday they will sing to you and you get to wear the special hat :)
