In all my years of living and shopping in Europe, the owners of this store are the rudest people I have ever met. I have been traveling to Colmar for over 20 years, it is one of my favorite places in Europe. I have bought from this shop before, but I have never been so badly treated as my recent encounter there on 3 July 2016. My friend and I looked at the shop items displayed outside, and then we went inside. We looked at many things in the front and back areas of the shop. When I tried to go to look at items in the left side of the shop, the owner physically blocked me from entering that area. He asked if I had made a decision to buy anything - I told him I was still looking (I actually did intend to buy several items). He then said that his shop was for buying, not for looking - other shops were for looking. I told him he was very rude and a terrible person. He and his wife just smirked at us. This shop should not be allowed to operate when the owners treat visitors so badly. The city of Colmar should do something to penalize this shop for their poor behavior towards tourists. Otherwise, it makes Colmar look like they really don't care about courtesy towards or the dignity of their visitors. This shop is a monument to travesty and injustice, and is a blight on the beautiful city of Colmar! read more
