I bought a bedroom chair from La Maison Chic less than 1 month ago. Already, the chair has significantly torn away from the seams. Also, the rubber securing the feet of the chair has eroded, causing the feet to slide up and rendering the chair unstable. I've filed for a return, so hopefully La Maison Chic will respond honestly and take responsibility for a faulty product. I'll update this post when they do. Any company that doesn't accept a return for an item that's fallen apart within one month isn't worth their salt. Agree with Kim. Think twice before buying. read more

I bought a bed-it was faulty,bed smelled of old mold,slaters made unprofessional-some of them pointing up-so when you move or sit on the bed-it makes a noise,all the time.I contacted company,to collect the bed,they said-I signed delivery paper,could not identify faults on delivery day,so it is my problem.It seemed like it was my fault....after long long e-mails,long stress,they asked me to pay 60£,for collection of the bed,I agreed,but then nobody came to collect it.So,they e-mailed me that they wanted- 120£ for collection.Even used a Klarna bank ,as Klarna adviced them to charge me 120£ instead of 60£.I called to Klarna bank,they said it is absolutely not true.Avoid this company-if you want good product and peace of mind. read more

Recently purchased expensive chair from La Maison Chic which after a few months broke causing me injury. Having contacted their complaints department I was accused of 'dragging the chair across the floor with someone on it'- really! They have refused to repair or refund This was an expensive item, which I expected to last longer than a few months, and in my opinion is not fit for purpose, or to be of merchantable quality. I have since discovered they are not registered with the Furniture Ombudsman, therefore making it difficult to bring a case against them. History

Established in 2006.

Our story begins with Pauline Morgan, our grandmother who worked in fabric haven - Laura Ashley shop on Regent St London. She always has had a great interest in Interior design, international textile, fabrics & property development. In 1990 her dream came true - she opened her first shop West Malling Fabrics in Kent. Soon after Pauline's daughter Susan joined her on this interior journey and opened Just Fabrics in Hertford in 1991. During school holidays as children we accompanied Pauline and Susan on their buying trips to suppliers and visiting the fabric mills in Scotland. We watched the complete process from prints being produced and rolling off the line to interior projects being completed. Love of interiors is part of our DNA. My wife and I were looking for a TV stand with an electric fire place for our basement. We shopped…read morearound Brandon and found one at this store. We were helped by salesperson (lady). I asked in how many boxes the item comes in and she told me in 2 boxes. I would have the fire place in one box and the other would be the TV stand. I ask if it comes assembled or in pieces and if the doors were glass or wood because the display had both on it. The answer was that I would have to put the fire place in the stand myself and that I could select and/or change the doors as I wish because both options were in the box. So minimum assembly. We agreed to purchased the item after our discussion with the salesperson. The following day I went to the store to complete the transaction and book delivery. We got delivery the same day. Once I received the delivery, I notice that it was only on box. I asked the delivery personnel if there was a second box and they said no. They put it where we needed it, I signed their paperwork and they left. Once I open the box, I notice that the TV stand was fully apart. We called the store to talk to the salesperson and the attitude of the lady was totally unacceptable. She told my wife and I that I no time did she say it would be assemble and that they don't assemble furniture for customers. I reminded her of our discussion the day prior that she said I had to put in the fire place and select the doors but that it would be minimum assembly. While discussing with my wife, the sales person was being rudes and cutting my wife off multiple times. She also admitted, while on the phone, that she didn't know in what state of assembly the item would come in. We try to discussed options with the salesperson to no avail. So we return the item. I do not recommend to do business with this store. We bought most of our furniture at this store and always had a good experience but now, after this, we won't be shopping there. I prefer to spend more money somewhere else instead of dealing with people that are being impolite, rude and liars. Hope you have a better experience.

They did everything in their power to get us exactly what we wanted and today, to boot! We walked out, very happy customers with smiles on our faces. Just visited la maison chic showroom and ordered a fabulous sideboard from their showroom. The office staff were extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet. The only reason i have not left 5 star is because i have only just ordered from them and await to receive my sideboard. If the delivery service is as good as the sales team i dont think i have much to worry about! watch this space :) read more

I have been a customer of La Maison for 2 years. La Maison Chic always source unique, quality pieces and they always have a great range of items for sale, from lighting to sofas, desks and mirrors and more.
