Decent place for OK tacos…read more I was kind of surprised that my friends decided to try this place since there are so many options for food in Madrid. One major pro is that the food is pretty cheap, but the tacos were not anything out of this world. I actually found many of my tacos to be quite bland compared to those of other places in the U.S. Another pro is that the restaurant stays open pretty late, compared to other places in the main part of the city. I will say that the service staff was quite wonderful. One of the waiters even gave me an extra shot with my margarita.

It would not be uncommon to have two margaritas in the states, one was more than plenty! The waitress was super sweet considering her English and my Spanish were fairly on par (muy pico), we managed to make it work. The restaurant was colorful (blue and yellow) and well decorated. I could see hanging out here with friends for the night. I was dining alone so I ate and left. I also went early for Madrid standards (happy it was open at 645) and there were other people (not Americans) eating which is always good. Definitely would recommend and would be happy to eat here if it were in the states!

The website said that you must have reservations and we can certainly see why because it's standing room only. We did not have reservations but the kind waiter found a spot for us. Within minutes of opening - the restaurant was packed. The decor is so darn cute! I was able to have a gluten free Beer. It was yummy! I had the nachos and my hubby had the tacos. Food was suburb! At the very end the waiter gave us both a complimentary shot of tequila. This restaurant is a must see and dine while visiting Madrid.

Anyways, we started off with 2 each just in case we didn't like them and we where pleasantly surprised. I order two more and my boyfriend ordered 3 more. The chorizo, papas and queso are more flavorful than those at Takos Al Pastor in Sol and when we went there was absolutely no wait time which is a bonus for sure. The micheladas come with a generous amount of mix and they where definitely the best we've have in Madrid so far. For 1€ the tacos are definitely worth it. They have spicy salsa that has a generous kick. Would definitely recommend! The decor is very nice and they had Mexican music playing in the background which is always a bonus! Edit: Came here again and still worth it but know that they don't put a lot in the tacos. Still yummy but about half of what you would think would be in there for the tortilla size. Just order a few more and you'll be good

I was surprised by the lack of taco spots in Madrid so thank goodness for this spot. If you are looking to eat something else than tacos they have a good variety of menu items to choose from. This place, while it lacks seating and gets pretty cramped, has the most authentic flavours of anywhere I've visited in Madrid. The margaritas are always divine and super strong, and the tacos are just magnificent. The guacamole is lovely, authentic, and the beans taste just like when you're in Mexico. I really have nothing bad to say about this place, except that I wish it was much bigger-- it's basically impossible to get seating if you come during normal eating hours. Takeaway is always a fair bit worse than eating in-- when you eat in, you are provided with various spices and other condiments which really make a big different to the flavour of your food. Favourites include the cactus taco, chicken tinga, and any of the double chilli sign tacos-- the spice is so spot on!
