Great food good wine, pathetic service. Came in with a large group. Had to wait nearly 30 min for service 1:30 until we got our entrees. We had a really great family dinner at La Laguna on Lac Genval. The atmosphere is perfect - sitting right on the water this restaurant has spacious seating and a feeling of openness like you are on the water. Staff are very friendly and do a great job of taking care of everyone. They start you off with their signature olives and fresh bread. We started off with some great mixed salads before our meals. The pizza is simply some of the best thin crust woodfire pizza I've had. I had the Regina - ham, mushrooms, mozzarella and my Pops had the vegetarian pizza which was excellent. The escalope Milanese was also really good, accompanied with fries or pasta as you wish. The final dish on the table was the linguine bolognese which was simple perfect. I dined in at La Laguna this evening for the first time with a large party of over 25 people and we had a good dining experience considering the size of our group. The restaurant is situated on Lake Genval which offers an added bonus with a wonderful view of the lake. I had a scampi appetizer which consisted of shrimp and fresh mushrooms adorned in a sauce that I found to be delicious. I used the fresh bread on the table to dip into the sauce and I could've easily eaten another bowl of it. For my entree, I selected the saltimbocca alla romana which was also good. I heard many of my dining companions comment that their dishes were good as well so I would recommend that you give La Laguna a try. read more

This restaurant has a lot of tables inside with a great view on the lake. In my opinion, the view is the best thing you will find there... The food is lacking of taste and presentation and the service is not really good (bad 2 times in a row). I would recommend this spot only to get a drink with a view on the lake. read more

Stopped by with family on sunny Sunday noon. Fully booked! On our way out i asked why dont they open the heated terrace, and the waiter immediately opened it. Already a + point. The terrace was half full in just 5 min. Out 2yo toddler got a drawing notebook & pencils, another +. Service quick and could be a bit more smiley. Pizza maison very good (well not as huge as pizza legends like COSI COME but hard to equal CC) + Soup minestrone and risotto very tasty + 2 drinks = bill €53. Wonderful atmosphere and pleasant setting next to the lake. Service was courteous but not overly friendly. We didn't mind because it allowed us to take in the atmosphere and setting while enjoying the company. We ordered Two pizzas and the arrived much quicker than we anticipated. Short summary: it's not worth it, spend your money elsewhere We asked for a table next to the window and hoped for a nice, cozy atmosphere for a romantic evening out to connect after busy week. I asked for a wine recommendations and the poor waiter could not come up with anything. Finally picked a Sardinian white which was lovely. Entrées and the mains were horrible quality. It felt that the entrees were ready made, taken straight from the freezer. Mains lacked any flavour and the sauce was slimy and grey. Even the fries were tasteless and soggy (quite difficult to achieve in Belgium). All in all, very expensive, disappointing and even the lake side table couldn't lift my disappointment. It didn't help that the resto echoed loudly as a small children's party had cake delivered over. During our dining experience I had hard time hearing my partner because of the load echoing. If you want a quiet, cozy dining experience consider going elsewhere as this place is really not worth the time or money. read more

Well where do I begin! Noisy and outdated décor aside it was not a great experience. The one star that I have given was based purely on the wine being very drinkable and the inadequate service being polite and jovial. Having read the other Yelp reviews I can only surmise that they were written by complete idiots or people without tastebuds. The starters tasted like they were emptied out of boxes freshly liberated from the freezer and into the deep fat fryer. Stodgy factory processed food with no taste or substance. Our main courses of lamb and veal tasted as though they had been cooked earlier in the day and reheated in a microwave. All in all an awful and expensive meal.
