However, our experience was so poor that it truly warranted one. The location is beautiful, right in front of a pond with a lush view of Chapultepec Park, and the restaurant itself is modern and chic. We arrived without reservations and were quickly seated, and they even accommodated us by parking our bicycles. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill and ended up being the worst dining experience we had in Mexico City. Three of us ordered the pasta burrata and our fourth friend ordered shrimp pesto pasta. We also ordered a bottle of white wine, guacamole, and a Caesar salad that the menu claimed was prepared tableside. I specifically asked if the Caesar dressing contained anchovies because I'm allergic; the waiter confirmed it did, so I ordered it for my friends only. The guacamole arrived 17 minutes after we were seated (confirmed by timestamped photos). The Caesar salad never arrived, and when we asked about it the waiter insisted we had never ordered it. We had to ask for it a second time. When it finally came out, it was not prepared tableside as advertised -- it was simply brought out already dressed, and the dressing honestly tasted like it came from a premade bottle. About 5-10 minutes later my friend received her pasta and our wine arrived warm. Roughly 20 minutes later the rest of our food came out, but instead of burrata the pasta was topped with goat cheese. No one told us they were out of burrata before ordering. The manager eventually confirmed they were out and asked us to choose something else. We then tried to order two other dishes, both of which they were also out of, and eventually settled on a chicken pasta that was very basic and frankly poor quality. One friend ordered the cordon bleu and was satisfied, but by then the experience had already gone downhill. Trying to salvage the lunch, we ordered another bottle of wine and stayed patient, but we also noticed every other table received bread upon arrival while we never did. When the bill came it totaled $330 USD for mediocre food and a terrible experience. We asked to speak to the manager and requested that at least one bottle of wine be comped given the multiple mistakes and delays. Instead of addressing it, they first sent a chocolate cake, which we declined because we simply wanted to leave after spending nearly 2.5 hours there. When the manager finally came over, his solution was offering us a $10 bottle of prosecco. Compared to a $300+ bill and multiple mistakes, this felt dismissive. We declined again and the final offer was a 9.5% discount. We gave this restaurant several opportunities to make things right but they chose not to. Unfortunately this experience ended up ruining a large part of our day. Summary: * Caesar salad never arrived and had to be requested a second time * Waiter claimed we never ordered it * Salad not prepared tableside as advertised * Warm wine served * Burrata dish served with goat cheese without warning * Multiple menu items unavailable after ordering * Long wait times despite the restaurant not being busy * No meaningful resolution for a $330 bill Without question the worst restaurant experience we had in Mexico City.

The service was great, they were very attentive and several waiters/waitresses take care of your table so they're quick to clean up your plates and such which I appreciated, you had space for your next dish. When we arrived, we happen to get there while a show was happening, there was music and singing and just all very colorful, it was loud and fun! The menu had a good variety of food, and the food itself was pretty tasty. We started with some appetizers and we got the huaraches and those were omgggggg finger licking goodness! Those are a must! We also had the barbacoa and it was good but kinda dry, not my fav here, I'd prob skip it. We had the chicken soup and that was great! The guacamole was kinda uneventful and was missing salt and spice. To drink we ordered 2 pitchers of aguas frescas, tamarind was one and it was nice and refreshing but the real winner was the Horchata, that one was made just right! For dessert we had the helado de mamey and that was really really good! Price range is on the higher end BUT with the show and the service you can see why. I'd def recommend visiting this place at least once!

Every time we're in Mexico City, we HAVE to stop here - it's the law :) On this last visit to see my family, it was also my husband's first time to Mexico City so I was really excited for him. They have shows on weekends so make a reservation in advance to get a good table near the stage. On this last visit we were a group of 15. Their star dish is the barbacoa. It's not to everyone's liking but it's worth a try. Their carnitas are also delicious. They had a 13 piece mariachi band this night, and I LOVE mariachi. They also had a play going on w/the mariachi band. This restaurant experience was a highlight for my husband. They have an indoor playground for the kids. The drinks were good. they also have cafe de la olla (Mexican coffee). Lots of foreigners come here as well. On this night, there were folks visiting from Switzerland and other countries. As you'll notice, if it's your first time here and you're coming from abroad or celebrating something special, it's tradition to pass a napkin to the MC, with a note of what you're celebrating etc. and they'll announce it. My husband didn't know this tradition and my mom wrote a note for him ;) So he was super surprised when the MC called him by name in front of the whole restaurant and they welcomed him to Mexico City :) I was pleasantly surprised to see the staff were very considerate and conscious of covid-19. All of the servers were wearing masks and a face shield. All of the non-server staff had masks. You don't see the shield anymore in the US but was so happy to see it here. I felt a lot safer. Also throughout the restaurant, you'll see a wall of old photos of the owners with famous Mexican celebrities who have dined at this restaurant. If you're in Mexico City, definitely stop here!
