We were greeted immediately and taken to a table where a birthday card signed by the staff was waiting for me. They even created a personalized menu that I got to keep. Those thoughtful touches meant so much. And the food... WOW! The Delmonico was huge and cooked to perfection. The ropa vieja was full of flavor, with meat so tender it just fell apart. And the risotto? Goodness, you just have to try it. I can't even explain how good it was! The Brussels sprouts could have been a meal on their own, and the tres leches was absolutely divine. Meadow deserves a special mention. She was so sweet, professional, and kind, and getting to know a little more about her made the evening even better. What an amazing human! The place is beautiful. I left feeling special, loved, and definitely well fed! Thank you, Nineteen61 and Meadow, for making my birthday such a memorable one.

I only went inside to use the restroom. The spaces looked nicely decorated. It definitely has an upscale vibe which matches the quality of the food. Restrooms: They had three gender neutral bathrooms. They were nice and clean. The one I used had a changing station for babies. Service: Our server was very friendly and so sweet. She was very attentive. She seemed to be working a lot of tables so the service was a little slow but it didn't bother us. She did forget our complementary drink for first time diners. She did have a lot going on so it didn't bother us either. Everyone was super friendly. Food: We really enjoyed our food. We got the 'Brussel Sprout' lunch starter and it was so good! It was packed with the flavor. The brussel sprouts were the perfect crispness. We both had their lunch special which was sooo good! This is definitely some top notch food for Lakeland. I can see why it is Michelin Recommended. The prices were reasonable too. This restaurant is on par with the top restaurants in Tampa! We loved our lunch and we will definitely be back. My Masas de Cerdo Fritas, with white rice and black beans, although a little on the dry side was tender and flavorful and beautifully presented. The sides were expertly prepared and the black beans were extremely flavorful. If it weren't for the pork being on the dry side, this would have been a 5 star review from me, which I rarely give. I am looking forward to returning to see if I can revisit my review and add that star.

"Despite everything, I still believe that people are good at heart." That is a paraphrase from Anne Frank's' diary-but it still stands. This is a poem I wrote today. I asked Google to translate it into Spanish. I hope that it conveys the true spirit of what America really stands for.

We were greeted by a waitress... a couple mins. We received a complimentary noodle soup, we ate it and it was delicious. We had 2 waiters taking care of us. We then proceeded to tell him our order A couple apps, and a couple entrees for me and her.... I can't recall how long we waited to get our appetizers, but it wasn't too long..... so, we ate them slowly, thinking we were going to get our meals very soon. But that didn't happen... Our waiter then says to us, please be patient, our food takes time to make, so we didn't think anything about at the time..... but I started to notice.... One side of the restaurant, looks empty, and we sat right by the kitchen, and the other side.... I couldn't see if there was people or not..... and it's now, 30 mins in and all I see are, 3-4 waiters just hauling food to one side of the restaurant and we still haven't got an update, no one showed up to our table with food or nothing, now it's past 45 mins in.... And me and my fiancé are getting irritated and pissed... she got up and asked about the food and the waiter just nonchalantly tells her, it's coming out.... Now, it's over an hour and we're beyond pissed.... Everyone around us, receiving food but us. We didn't even order but 2 appetizers and 2 small entrees..... it was so bad, got into an argument with the staff and they comp us one meal and that's it. And made them wrap up our food to go.
