Came by on a Saturday at 11 am after walking around, looking for a breakfast spot nearby, with no success. This restaurant was actually our back up plan since we saw it was open and it was right across the street from our hotel. We ended up back here when we couldn't find anything else, but I'm glad that we did.
To start, the three of us shared two of the gorditas. I know we ordered two different ones but I can't remember what. It wasn't that memorable. I was actually looking to try the pozole but unfortunately, they only serve it on Thursdays and Fridays. I ended up getting the chicken soup, since I wanted something warm and comforting, and it did not disappoint. It was flavorful, hearty, and just what I was looking for. My husband had the flautas (1 chicken, 1 beef, 1 potato). It was okay - maybe I just don't love flautas. The small side salad it came with looked a bit off.
We also ordered some fresh juices, which were really good. I would say that if you're not in the mood for anything heavy, just order some juice and the chicken soup, and you have yourself a perfect meal. read more
