Wife's note - It would be nice if there was also some "bread" with this meal. Decent size chicken, a quarter piece. The meat melted off the bone which my wife loved. I prefer my meat to be a little more hearty. The salad was very plain, think head lettuce and some slivers of carrot. Rice was good, but very minimal. Fries were good. And to wash it all down, a VERY small glass of white wine with two large ice cubes for 5.50 Euros... $6.50 USD for this?!? Basically a sip of wine... And I was actually not going to drink because I knew we were having a GREAT dinner at Une Table au Sud, see other 5 Star Yelp review! Plus LV always gives me champagne. But you know that because you are following. So in summary, that "glass" of wine affected my mood for this lunch. I just got mad at myself for ordering it. Ambiance - Local business and we do our best to support. In the tourist area. Indoor and outdoor seating; see pictures. Clean toilets; see pictures. Service - The male employee was more welcoming than the female one. Unfortunately for us, we got stuck with the female employee. Not sure if they are owners or family...? She just did not seem happy and did not want to be here... Price - 31.50 Euros, $37 USD; I felt overpriced for what we got. Well, we are in a tourist area, so we should expect tourist prices. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.

We opted to share la menu végétarien, and for 15 €, it was almost enough to satisfy! We had to order a second helping of falafel al a carte (includes 5 extra falafel balls) which was then enough for us to feel oh so good. The fixed menu includes hommos, baba ganoush, tabouli, samboussik jebne (which is like a little samosa with cheese inside), fatayer (another samosa type with spinach inside), rakakat jebne (melted cheese inside Lebanese bread), falafel, and mjadara (potatoes and lentils). There was also a rice dish listed, but we didn't get that. You also get an ample side of pita bread! It's a lot of food and it's all perfectly prepared. At the end of the meal they brought us a couple sweet desserts, one corn based doused in honey, and the other a cream-pistachio topped sweet bread. And! A delicious serving of Moroccan mint tea. This was my favorite meal in Marseille, hands down. If it only were closer to where we stayed, we would've returned for another delicious meal. Don't miss out on this place!

Lots of different dishes to choose from. Very good pita bread. Lots of vegetarian options as well. Pretty affordable, about $20 per person. If you eat more, you can obviously get a bang for your buck. Walking distance from the train station. We came in with our luggage and they stored it for us. Some of the tables are very close to the floor with the chairs at the same height as the table, so good to be open to different experiences. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Me: Let's come back here before we leave On our last day in Marseille, we came back. The host was very friendly and gave us the last table on their small patio. We ordered the formule which included a starter, entree, and dessert. We also ordered a great bottle of Cotes du Rhone. Again, we have not had a bad bottle of wine! Our friendly server brought out the starters and explained each one, but the only thing I can remember is that they were all very good! Also, everything was fresh and healthy! Then he brought out the chicken kabobs which were tender and juicy. The only disappointment was the dessert. It looked a little sad, but the tea at the end was great! It was a very good meal and a nice way to end our stay in Marseille. Now for the interesting and somewhat funny experience. The place turns into some kind of club for persian people. Lots of pretty ladies of all shapes and sizes, but also some greasy looking men. These two guys thought it would be funny to send this little boy to our table to try to sell us roses. We didn't understand what he was saying and he just left the rose. Then he came back mad and took it away. We don't know what the men told him, but these two guys were jerks. Then they tried to hit on these two women. One of them knew immediately and was very guarded, but her friend enjoyed the attention. Her friend left, while she stayed and chatted, and when she tried to leave, the guy interested in her made her sit on his lap....EEEWWWW! Anyways, she took it in stride and left, but these two guys kept trying with some of the other women. It was all pretty sad, pathetic, and funny! Yeah, I come back here just for the show!
