Nothing pairs better with a summer stroll than a paleta! Paleta = popsicle, btw. It was hot and we were doing a lot of shopping and bopping around, so we popped into La Fuente after eying it a few times. The line was long, but moved fast. You can do a grab and go of the pre-made paletas or opt for an ice cream. There isn't seating inside, but they had patio seating and really cute photo opps outside with the painted trees.

Oh so good! We came twice on our trip. The line may look long and it's a bit hectic inside but it moves fast. You pay first and hand them your receipt and tell them your order. Toasted coconut was my favorite. The cones are thick and very tasty. Definitely worth a stop while in La Paz.

Almost the same size as the Gatorade! Toasted coconut was amazing!

Lots of ice cream and popsicle flavors. Single scoop in a sugar cone is 60 pesos and it's huge!

This is the place to get ice cream and popsicles. They had an awesome selection of traditional and local flavors. There are like 30 flavors of fresh popsicles to choose from! Must visit for sweets lover. Location: It's in La Paz town, on the Malecon (oceanfront street) and towards the end of town. They have tables and benches set up in front under the shade where you can enjoy ice cream and take in the ocean view. Ordering Procedure: you pay in advance at the register and take your receipt to get your goodies. One of the staff speaks good English and can help with flavors (most labels in Spanish). Payment in cash only, they will accept USD and Pesos. Ice Cream: you can get it in a cup, "cookie" cone or "cookie" cup (I say cookie as the texture is more like fortune cookie than typical US waffle cone. Fresh made on site). Ice cream is creamy and not overly sweet. We had the traditional Mexican Mamey fruit flavor that was soooo good! The pure fruit flavors are more granite/sorbet like. The Pitaya flavor was yummy too. Popsicles: we are our ice cream and then got popsicles. All the yummy traditional flavors. Choice of creamy or just juice pops. The creamy ones have slices of real fruit inside. Lots of Mexican local flavors, we got Tamarindo and Pineapple Chili Lime. Both excellent. Not too sweet and didn't melt too fast. We almost went for seconds in pops but was already high on sugar, so decided to limit ourselves to just one each. Loved it!! Would get goodies here everyday if we could and try all the yummy flavors.

Great ice cream spot in the heart of the malecón. Lots of flavors to choose from. No indoor seating but a few benches and chairs out front.
