An absolute scam on fruit cups. Let me explain. I went to buy a large mixed fruit fruit cup. They charge $7 for a large basic mixed fruit cup (no topping) that includes watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber, and pineapple. Fine. I then asked to add strawberries, oranges, banana at $0.50 EACH. Which was already ridiculous (don't give me that "fruit is expensive" BS). The cup is a fixed volume of measurement. They didn't make the cup bigger to make room for more fruit. Instead, they had to take out the basic fruit from the cup and add what I requested. Fine. This is the cup they gave me. Which does not look like a large cup (pretty much the same size as a "tall" at Starbucks). What was even more infuriating was that they didn't even fill the cup (look at all of the empty space). The woman tried use some lame excuse about how they cut the fruit and since the pieces are bigger that means they fit more inside the cup.... But again... the cup has a fixed volume and when there are empty spaces it means the cup is not filled. THEN I looked closer at the cup... the bottom 3/4 of the fruit cup are the fruits I requested which I paid $1.50 EXTRA. So... if I paid $1.50 EXTRA for the bottom 3/4 of the cup, that means I paid $7 for the top 1/4 of the cup with the absolute least amount of basic fruits they could jam in there. I paid nearly $9 off this sad fruit cup. I do not recommend going here for a fruit cup. As by the attitude of their workers, it seems they are cared less about their entire business. read more

Honestly this place was no all that. The customer service was so bland. Especially when I mentioned that it was my first time. My Fiancé and I got the Strawberries and Crème, Brownie Parfait, Nutty Banana Smoothie and the Chocó Nutty. The only thing I would recommend is the Strawberries with Cream! Everyone else was a miss for us. There was no one else when we went. It wasn't the best atmosphere in there especially when an employee kept talking about how it was his last day there. Seemed more like a teen hang out. I recommend the drive thru and just get the strawberries with cream- that really can they messed up! read more

This place was horrible. We ordered nachos, esquite , chamoy apple, and drinks. The nachos were cold and barely had any cheese and like 5 jalapeños slices. My esquite or corn in the cup because they didn't know it by it's real name was the worse I've ever had. They used mozzarella cheese instead of cojita or at least parm cheese. They also put sour cream in it, I love sour cream but in my esquite was disgusting. The chamoy apple was whatever I have no good or bad note on it. Our drinks were bland no flavor. I had a bad experience before, so I hadn't been back in a while. Tried it today and here is how it went. Ordered a fruit cup off of the drive through menu. I pulled forward and learned that the price on the menu is not the actual price. The unpublished cost came to $9.17. I gave her $20.17 so I wouldn't get any change back and just $11 even. Plan was to give her one dollar tip and keep 10. She gave me back $10.85. When I explain to her that should be an even $11 she was instantly irritated and actually rude. I thought it best to be happy that I got almost $11 back. It could've been worse. But skipped the tip i had planned and left. when I came home to write a review, I found that the price of the fruit cup posted on the Internet is actually WAY off the actual price and the price posted on the drive-through menu is only off a little. I thought this place was great. I've been back several times since my first visit. Their smoothies are mixed super well and tasted fresh. They also have ice cream and something w fruit and ice cream, I'm going to get that next time. The elote was not the best I've had but certainly not the worst. If you're looking for an easy place to get a snack this is the place. They have everything from sweet to savory. I will say that the shrimp cocktail was a little overpriced for what you get considering it was $10 for about 8 shrimp inside there was more sauce to shrimp ratio. But they make it easy to order and offer tajin and Chile for no extra price. We ordered a large mixed fruit cup and it came with cucumber, coconut, pineapple, cantaloupe and watermelon with the tajin and Chile on top. It was a bit pricey but that's typical for cut fruit like that. The ice cream looked pretty good and they offer party platters too if you're into that kind of thing. Overall it's a decent place to stop and get a quick snack and I'd maybe recommend it if you enjoy Mexican snacks. read more

This place is so convenient if you want a super light lunch of chopped fruit or a good, fruity smoothie. It's very clean inside and service is friendly and relatively quick. I dropped this down a star because the strawberries in my smoothie had a slight "off" taste, like they were close to spoiling. However, my wife's escamocha was VERY good. The other negative is the prices. $8+ for a couple cups of fruit is pretty stiff. But, the fruit platters seem more reasonable. Otherwise, I'll keep coming back because it does make an easy decision for a quick, refreshing solution when you don't want to fill up with a heavy lunch. read more

I had a chicken salad wrap with fruit and a corn cup as side. The corn cup was kind of bland, but the rest was great. I also got a mango boba, which tasted nothing like mango, imo. I think it was made with a powder? And while it was enjoyable, it was not mango. The boba were old. My sil got a mango chamoy smoothie and I liked that one much better. It was a true mango flavor and I'd never had chanoy before and really enjoyed it. It's a lime-chili and added a lot of flavor to the drink. I also got some macrons that they offered. Over two weeks we have had two screw ups at this location. One was I ordered a medium fruit bowl and then realized after getting home they charged me for a large bowl. I called and when we picked up they refunded me $10 not the $15 that was the difference. Then this week we stopped for lunch I ordered for my wife a chicken salad sandwich. Then I ordered a California club for me and the worker said another combo and I said yes. So I assumed they got my order right. When getting home we realized they gave us two chicken salad sandwiches. My wife goes back and explains what happen and the worker basically calls us a liar and said no that's what he ordered. My wife said no he wanted ham and she says he never said that and wouldn't do anything. Basically the business is calling the customer liars instead of make the situation correct and admit an error!!! read more

La Frutería is a clasic treat my famiy looks forward to while on vacation in Corpus. My recommendation is to stick with the sweet foods and skip the savory. I had the Pork BBQ torta and it was plain. My wife had a good chicken salad wrap. The corn cup was only decent and inquiries by my gluten sensitive brother-in-law were dismissed and caused limitations to what he could order. Our experience was not awful but due to ordering savory foods I was left disappointed. The facility was clean and bathrooms were clean as well. FIRST time going and we ordered two BANANA splits, paid $7.03 each. They literally forgot the bananas in both orders. They put the orders in individual white bags. They have a sign on the window that says once you leave they won't remake the order. Called to let them know so they don't forget the main ingredient on anybody else's order. I was here yesterday a medium sized clear cup was $7.95 . You can get a better deal at a HEB ! If I could I would give them no stars. They were SO rude they acted put out and when I walked in and I was the only customer. For one I asked if I could have a fruit cup add strawberries and bananas they seemed to stuff it in the cup. Then before they made it I even ask not to put cucumbers in it they then acted SO annoyed as if they had already made it. So I just "said never mind just leave them". 2 small corn cups, 1 large corn cup, and I small chocolate shake ran just under $20. The corn for their corn cups is from a can. They are also heavy handed with the mayonnaise; there was too much in all of the cups. The "shake" was water-based, I could tell from the large ice crystals. It was more of a chocolate flavored slush. If I wanted that I would just go to Wendy's. I have given this restaurant multiple chances but today was the last one. If it was possible to give them -stars I would. Customer service is horrible. The workers act as if its a burden to make you what you ordered and paid for. If they are unhappy with their jobs they should work some where else. Very rued every time I have gone in to order. I used to order in the drive through and I ordered my milkshake with "no Ice" something I have done since I was 11 years old. And I expressed if it cost more that is perfectly fine, when I received my drink, ICE, so I let them know and they called me a liar. I left, no reason to argue. So next time I went in, again I SAW them put ICE in the drink, when I called them out on it they AGIAN said I was lying. I got a LG strawberry & creme cup, two macarons (which i should note aren't that great & taste a bit old), and a chicken salad sandwich combo.... i spent $19 on this. Way more than i expected especially for the size of the sandwich and the corn cup it came with. it was just a normal chicken salad sandwich, nothing special it was kind of bland as well as the corn cup.
