Situated in a residential area of Florence, my partner, our friends, family member, and I stayed at Hotel La Fortezza, located on V.le Giovanni Milton, during our stay mid-September. It is just a little off the beaten path, but it was well worth it.
Upon entering, the establishment itself dates back to the 19th century, offering a delightful blend of elegance and comfort within walking distance of some decent restaurants, parks, and tram/bus stations.
We were greeted by Elizabeth at the front desk, who was friendly and so helpful, which made our stay more pleasant.
The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable.
Every morning in the breakfast room, we were offered a rich buffet of sweet delights, fresh fruits, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, and gluten-free products. A very nice touch was the locally produced honeycomb that was served to add to yogurt, cereal, tea, etc. It was delicious and hit the spot.
Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations, which we can recommend. read more
