If your looking for some really good tamales this is the place to go. The owners and staff are very friendly. I got the 3 pork tamales and 1 cheese. I think we accidentally got 4 pork tamales instead but that's fine because we will be back for more. The masa is moist and the pork has a little spice to it. I love how they are the right amount of spice. They serve chicken, pork, beef and cheese with jalapeño. We are going back on Saturday to try their menudo. We also tried some of the pastries. The ones we tried were a 4 out of 5 stars. It's the traditional slightly sweet bread. If you want them fresh come early in the morning when they open at 8am. This establishment is worth giving a try if you haven't already.

Flo de Puebla in STOCKTON. Very customer service oriented. Great service. They answer the phone. Can't say the same for the Lodi store.

Only been there once, but the pan dulces were great. I'll definitely bring my kids to grab their favorites again.

Great fresh Mexican pan. I go across town for their pan and tamales. Yum. The bread is soft, fresh and even warm.

Genova remains a favorite for us. Whenever we're in Stockton we stop in to pick up sandwiches,…read morebread, and some pantry items. It's a very popular neighborhood spot, so expect lines especially during the meal times. If you have a large order it's best to call in ahead of time and pick up later. Our favorite thing is to pick up sandwiches here, and we all have our favorites. Mine is a combo on ciabatta with hot salami and hot coppa, havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, Bruno peppers, mustard and oil and vinegar. They have amazing bread here and we often pick up loaves of bread, rolls, and buns. You can also order deli meat, pasta salads, and even desserts like cannoli or cheesecake. Plus they offer catering options like party trays and cookies that you can call ahead for. The store is small, but has a little bit of everything. They have biscotti that they make from their bread, they have local and imported sauces, olives, and other items. Honestly, once you experience the charm and quality of this 100+ year old bakery you'll fall in love. Just be patient with the hardworking team here, each day is a BUSY one for them.

Sierra Nevada and E. Flora St. in the heart of downtown Stockton, this place is absolutely nostalgic from the outside with its classic signage, green entrance door, and a true Italian feeling as soon as you arrive. I absolutely love when small family owned-and-operated businesses retain that look as it keeps the tradition and heritage alive and well. I came here with my lady during the afternoon on Saturday 8/22/2026 at around 2:00pm. Parking was surprisingly easy to find as the surrounding area has an abundance of mid-century homes. Upon entry, you are greeted with the aroma of freshly baked bread, well-stocked aisles of cookies, jams/jellies, homemade pastas, olive oils, sauces, spices, wines, and even their own merchandise that includes t-shirts, mugs, and other unique items. Much of the Italian groceries are similar to what you'd find in a bigger city like San Francisco. The real winner here are the sandwiches. During their regular business hours which are 6:30am-4pm during the week and 6:30am-2:30 on Saturday, they have multiple employees rolling out a wide variety of their award-winning sandwiches. They carry some of the best Italian cold cuts including Hot Coppa, Mortadella, Prosciutto, and Pancetta. And when you pair that up with some amazing cheeses on their own warm Genova bread, that is an ultimate combination. Since we had come a little bit later in the day, much of the homemade breads were sold out. However, we did purchase a loaf of their milk bread which we used for sandwiches and even French toast for breakfast. Keep in mind that they are closed on Sunday. However, if you come for a sandwich, you might experience a little bit of a wait during their lunch rush. But the good news is that the prices here are very reasonable at only $10 for a fully loaded sandwich (which is less than many grocery store delis). All in all, this was a very pleasant surprise as I had never stepped foot into this small business until 2026. With excellent service, decent prices, but a smaller amount of baked goods than other bakeries, I am giving "Genova Bakery" an above average four-star rating.

Another "triple D" spot marked off my list…read more A great deli. The people are friendly, lots of Italian groceries, sandwiches, other items for sale, meats, cheeses, this is a full on Italian deli. Their specialty, though, is the ravioli. Tiny little pillows of goodness, the main three ingredients are beef, cheese, and a spinach/Swiss chard mix.. , They make a lot of of them, and they are actually made on a ravioli machine that is roughly 100 years old. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I bought a pound and a half bag of ravioli to go. I had mentioned that I was in town from Sacramento. Without me, even asking, he put together a bag of ice for me to sit on top of the bag of ravioli,, so I could get them home. That was very nice of him. I also bought a bottle of imported Cacio E Pepe sauce. The price for everything was very reasonable. The place is cash only, but they do have ATM in the store if needed... The ravioli were so good, Rich, and creamy, and the spinach/Swiss chard mixture was perfect. The sauce was very good, I could taste the pepper, but it didn't overwhelm the rest of the sauce. The next time I'm in town, I'm gonna come in and have a plate of the ravioli with their marinara sauce for lunch. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a great visit

Great sandwiches!…read more Orlando's is a great casual convenience store and deli. They have spectacular customer service! My work recently partnered with Orlando's to cater our lunches, and I was shocked to see how responsive they were. We placed our orders over the phone and quickly received confirmation and instructions for payment. The owner was super friendly and had everything prepared quickly. The orders were packaged nicely with name labels for each. They were very pleasant to work with. The sandwiches themselves are very good. The bread was super soft and fluffy. They were amply filled with the meat and cheese. The lettuce was very fresh and crunchy. The southwest pesto was great too! It was similar to a garlicky aioli and I really enjoyed it. They also offer a variety of sides and salads. Of course, they have all the typical convenience store fixings. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I ordered a roast beef and cheese sandwich with only mayo and a soda. The total came to about $15. I took it back to my office, looking forward to lunch, only to be completely disappointed when I opened it. Take a look at the photo. There was barely any roast beef on the sandwich. There was far more bread than meat. At times, I felt like I was eating a bread sandwich rather than a roast beef sandwich. For the price I paid, I expected a much more substantial sandwich and a better overall value. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.

It's about a 40 minute drive, but we didn't mind because the food looked good in Facebook Reels. We arrive around 7:55 pm, and we're hoping to be seated quickly because their Yelp record says they close at 8:30 pm. As we stood at the front of the restaurant, we saw there was one couple dining on the left and one dining on the right. Not overly busy. A young woman approached us. I happily say, "Two for dinner, please." She says sorry but the kitchen closes at 8 pm. My wife looks at her watch, and it's 7:58 pm. I tell her we're from Tracy and we drove a while to get there. She half chuckles and says, "The kitchen closes at 8, but you can stay for drinks." Uhhh no, we wanted dinner. So, we tell her it's not 8 pm yet, and she looks half heartedly towards the kitchen, and tells us, "You can come early tomorrow". My wife thought she sounded condescending. I'd tend to agree because she was still chuckling under her breath. She didn't try to check with the kitchen to see if they'd seat us. She didn't try to check with the kitchen to see if we could place an order to go. She made a unilateral decision. And because she seemed more like she wanted to shoo us from the place rather show any modicum of empathy, I am now swearing off this restaurant. It's tough to win new, loyal customers. It's easy to lose them. And that's what the young lady did tonight - she left a bad taste in our mouth even though we didn't even taste their food. And guess what? If any of our friends or family ask about Nordic Bites, you can be sure I'll emphasize the service we never received. A word to the owners - consider posting that your kitchen closes 30 minutes before your restaurant closes on Yelp. Otherwise, you surely will have other disappointed guests, like me and my wife, who may turn into detractors rather than loyal customers that are critical to building your business. Word of mouth travels fast.
