Location: In Matane's downtown core. Street parking is available - pay attention to the signage to make sure you don't overstay your welcome. We parked across the street from the bar and it was max 2-hour parking. I'm not sure if it's the same on other streets. The place: So from what I gathered, they have two places (next door to each other). I think one is bar/beer only while the one we went to also serves food (don't quote me on that 'cause I might be wrong). Anyway, it's a typical pub/bar vibe, casual, cozy. The goods: we went twice because the first time was just too good. We stopped in for dinner on the night we got to Matane, and ordered the fish and chips. The fish was delicious and fresh, the crust was perfect - crispy but not oily at all. The skinny fries were great and the sangria I ordered was refreshing and tasty. I went back today and ordered the shrimp guedille, served with fries. It was great. I tried the cheese cake and it was amazing - super soft and creamy, not like the usual cheesecake. The folks I was with on both occasions, loved their meals as well. Service: Friendly. Price point: It can be a little on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it. Excellent beer. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. We had the mussels, there were a ton of them, the poutine and an October fest platter. The sausage in the platter was a very light dry meat. Everything was excellent and the service was great we will definitely go back. read more

I was told that La Fabrique was the number one spot to eat at this area biased on the plate of mussels I took I see the potential but I can't say for sure . I can say I had way better mussels not that it was bad . I tried my dads shrimp it was amazing might be a bit also spicy for some but not for me :). They make there own beer and have a lot to chose from . Definitely worth checking out if your in the area I would say skip the mussels try their many different type of beers. read more

Lively atmosphere. Fantastic gastropub food -- we had to order seconds. They brew amazing beers! Scotch ale and IPA was really great.

Delicious poutine, excellent beer and friendly service. Unfortunately I did not discover this spot until the last day of my trip, otherwise I would have gone back. Not a lot of good dining options in this area, this was the best I found. read more

Large selection of lunch options. Had the sampler of 6 classic beer and fish and chips. My husband and daughters had a Cajun burger, Swiss cheeseburger and veggie burger. All were very happy with the service, food and atmosphere! Definitely worthy of stopping for :) read more

Coming in at 10.30 on a Tuesday, the town looked a little dead. This place, however was totally kickin. Excellent beer btw!
