The setting is like sitting in a New Orleans Cafe but with traditional Italian Decor. Small , quaint but romantic. The toasted bread with the accompaniment of this red pesto like ingredient was so delicious it made you want to order just that and skip the other dishes. It also invited you to want to try more. I'm a huge fan of Caprese and it did not disappoint! To follow with the Saccotini that made stars pop up in the sky.... It was a romance of Italian taste. Now I know I did Taboo by ordering red wine but I can't resist Nero D'avola it's so delicious. I ended with Espresso so I can continue the night after being so full and this place.... Pretty good. I'm not a big fan of authentic Italian food but ever once in a while I'll try a restaurant. The waitress is super nice! The dishes I had were okay nothing special. I'm not a fan of spicy food but the spicy salami dish was actually pretty good. As you know I'm a fan of tiramisu and theirs was okay I didn't think it was amazing but it was good. Great food and friendly staff. I'm not a big pasta fanatic but i thought their pasta tasted really fresh. The truffle ravioli tasted really good! The portions are just right, nothing too overwhelming. It is a very simple menu of appetizers, pastas and dessert. Didn't get a chance to try and apps or desserts, maybe next time. This is a lovely Italian gem in Rota. You can sit either inside, or outside on their patio overlooking the waterfront; we recommend outside for children who want to run in the square, a romantic meal with your significant other, or with visiting family / friends who would enjoy the view. We started with a special, the truffled burrata bruschetta -- it was amazing. Between the four of us we had: spaghetti pomodoro and the Gorgonzola gnocchi. Not a fan of their red sauce: way too sweet for our tastes. Additionally, I wouldn't do the house white again. That said, the pasta was obviously fresh and the gnocchi was to die for. My daughter recommended this place for dinner and boy she hit the nail on the head. From the fresh brucetta to the excellent wine and then the meal it self. I am a first generation Italian-American. I Spent my early childhood in Italy and I am a serious foodi snob. As a traveller I have been all over Italy. This place is a hidden diamond in Rota. Three of us shared two apps, 2 bottles of Nero D'Avola and we each had a pasta entree all of which were expertly prepared and delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in Rota (possibly my favorite). My family and I do not care for bland Spanish food whatsoever, and thoroughly enjoy eating at restaurants that do NOT serve Spanish fare. This excellent Italian restaurant does not disappoint. La dolce vita always serves a delicious dip with bread to start, some sort of pine nut and red pepper type. It is so wonderful that we'd like to know how to make it ourselves! The menu, although a little short, has a variety of flavors so everyone can find something to enjoy. I have ordered a spinach ricotta ravioli (fantastic), pear, goat cheese, and walnut stuffed pasta (very tasty), and my personal favorite, pumpkin and amaretto ravioli. The flavors are always fresh, unique, and delicious. We have also ordered some appetizers before, like the fresh bruschetta with basil and mozzarella, and the baked provolone with bread for dipping. They are a fabulous addition to any meal. Desserts are always worth saving room for (I forgot to mention, portion sizes might be smaller if you are used to American restaurants). We have had tiramisu, chocolate cake for my brother's birthday, and panna cotta with strawberries in the past. All delicious and freshly prepared.Children can order plain pasta with red sauce, cream, sauce, or just butter and cheese. A must go when traveling here! The amaretto ravioli was by far the best ravioli I have had in my life. If your in the mood for cheese the pear goat cheese was phenomenal. I just finished the best pasta I've ever tasted minutes ago at Le Dolce Vita. A true slice of Italy nestled into a quiet little corner in Rota. Wow. The Arrabiatta pasta with ricotta cheese is nothing short of amazing. I didn't want it to end! I had the bruschetta (which comes topped with buffalo mozzarella and basil) as an opener and washed it all down with a glass of Chianti. The friendly staff offered me a shot of limoncello on the way out, which I graciously accepted. Salute! So good. I will be back. Maybe even tomorrow. read more

Very nice Italian place. Its run by an Italian and a Swede. You can get some great pastas and wines. Most of the prices are about the same as any other restaurant in town, about 10-15 Euros per plate and about 5 Euros or so for a glass of wine. They do have a wine list, plus most of the wines are displayed on the wall. The do have a full bar as well as a few beers on tap (and not just Cruzcampo) To get the place, park on the street that runs along the pier/beach, and go up the stairs. Google and Yelp make this place a pain to find. Seating is small. We took a group of 8 here with advanced notice but I wouldn't just show up with that many people during a busy time. They have limited seating outside as well. This place is perfect for a nice dinner or a date also. One of their specials was a ball ravioli that exploded with flavor. I wish I could remember the name but it was really good. So was my pesta pasta. I can't wait to go back with the wife. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rota. True italians run the place, and all the pastas are imported from Italy. Little things like crisp white doilies under your pannacotta with puréed strawberry infused with lavender. The saccotini with pear and and goat cheese in a walnut sauce is to die for, as well as the ravioli with truffle cream sauce. The menu is small but all of it is made with care and thought.
